Two Waltham Youth Hockey teams, Mite 6 and Mite 7, recently scored big off the ice by raising thousands of dollars for the Salvation Army Angel Tag Fundraiser. The funds were used to purchase Christmas gifts for 25 local children in need.
The teams took a trip to Target in Watertown to shop for the kids’ wish lists, then enjoyed a pizza break before heading to the Waltham Fire and Police Departments. With remaining funds, they treated first responders to holiday treats as a thank-you for their service.
Thanks to the generosity of the players and their families, this holiday season was a little brighter for many in the Waltham community.
