Midgets Week Ending Mar. 11

The Edge had two wins and a tie, Shrewsbury III won twice and the Edge and Stoneham both posted a win and a tie, Stoneham’s tie against Shrewsbury I, who also had a win. Brandon Rheaume came through with two goals and an assist and Brett Masterson had a goal and a helper as the Edge topped Chelmsford 6-2, Ian Cadden with 1-1-2 in the loss; T. Guman wore the hat, M. Guman (77) had a goal and an assist and M. Guman (91) two assists as the Edge downed Andover 5-2 – and Rheaume scored with 3:26 left to give the Edge a a 2-2 tie with the same team; Andrew Sweet scored with 4:29 left to give Shrewsbury III a 2-1 decision over Wellesley – and Pat Wolohan had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory over Shrewsbury I; Kyle Barry wore the hat and Francis Vallesio had a goal and two assists in Stoneham’s 7-0 victory over the Railers; Shane Audette pitched a shutout and Josh Houle scored 24 seconds into Shrewsbury I’s 4-0 victory over the Railers – and Matt Soucy, who also had an assist, scored with 3:19 left and Callum Butler then capped a hat trick with 1:05 remaining to give Stoneham a 6-6 tie with Shrewsbury I, Kyle Barry with a goal and two assists and Vallesio 1-1-2 for Stoneham and Avery Wetherbee a hat trick and an assist and Nick Forget two assists for Shrewsbury;


Evan Stegmann came within 1:33 of a shutout as Wellesley defeated Shrewsbury II 3-1; John Foley capped Worcester’s three-goal second period with seven seconds left in the stanza as Worcester wiped out a 3-0 deficit and tied Woburn II 3-3 – Collin Savill with 1-1-2 for Woburn; Cadden scored twice and Owen Crowley and Owen North shared the shutout as Chelmsford topped Natick 5-0; and TJ Regan capped a hat trick with 6:27 left and Peter Collette then came through with 2:56 remaining to give North Andover a 4-4 tie with Natick – Pierce with two goals and Pfaler and Woolard a goal and an assist apiece for Natick.
