The Waltham Squirt A2 team has been on quit a run and just last week increased their unbeaten streak to 18 with a decisive 7-1 win over the Cyclones. That streak was in jeopardy a week ago when they faced the Andover Squirt A2’s and Acton Boxboro A2.
Vanaria & Lesser gave the Hawks an early 2-0 lead over Acton but goals from Falcone and Brown tied the game at 2 late in the 3rd. But another Vanaria goal at the 5:31 mark gave the Hawks a 3-2 win improving the unbeaten streak to 15. The Hawks streak was threatened again the next day, but were able to pull out a 2-2 tie with Andover.
Shrewsbury was at the bottom of the West American "A" division just before the new year, but now find themselves within striking distance of #1 Medfield heading into the last 2 months of the season. Storey and Pickering helped continue the run as they both tallied two goals and an assist each in the Colonials recent 7-1 win over Arlington.
The Jr. Crusaders had been unbeaten since the first week in November. The streak was extend to 9 over the school break with wins over Tewksbury and Dorchester. Terry scored a hat trick while Walsh pitched a shutout in the an 8-0 victory over Tewksbury. Welliver had a goal and an assist in the 3-2 decision over Dorchester. The streak was extended to 10 after a 6-0 win over Chelmsford before finally falling to Concord/Carlisle this past holiday weekend!
The Squirt South All-Star team took an early lead in the 2017 standings with a 5-3 win over the East in the season opener last Friday, while the North & West battled to a 4-4 tie. The Mite All-Stars will take to the ice next Friday for team practice with their season openers beginning on Jan. 27th.More >

2017? Bring It On!
"We're on to 2017" as Bill Belichick would say. Always wondered if he removes the rear view mirror from all of his vehicles. His focus is always on what is next and one of his pet phrases that always stuck with me is "The Price of Success Is Always Paid In Advance." With those thoughts in mind here is what would make a better 2017.
