BANTAMS – WEEK ENDING Nov. 4
Ryan Gilbert scored twice in a three-goal first period that built a 3-0 lead and sent Arlington past Waltham 3-2 – Jack Dickey with assists on both goals in the loss; Ned Williams pitched a shutout, Nikolas Previte scored twice, Braeden Archambault had 1-1-2 and Preston Taylor two assists in Andover’s 3-0 win over Waltham; Gray scored twice and Nelson and Korse both posted 1-1-2 in Greater Lowell’s 5-2 win over Lynnfield/Saugus – Danny Storella with 1-1-2 in the loss; Marcus Dennis scored the tying goal with 5:09 left and Storella scored twice as Lynnfield/Saugus pulled out a 3-3 tie with Concord –Concord with three goals in the first period, two of the goals 34 seconds apart; and Ryan Maziarka scored with 5:09 left, Lou Targoff, who also had two assists, scored the winner with 1:20 remaining and Emmett Wiley posted 1-1-2 as Cambridge edged Andover 4-3.
Winchester and Billerica both won twice. Tong delivered a goal and two assists, Porecha scored twice and Curtis had a goal and an assist in Winchester’s 7-4 victory over Everett/Revere, Magalhaes with a hat trick in the loss – and Freedman had 1-1-2 in a three-goal first period that led Winchester past Wellesley 3-2; Sam Dagenais scored the winner in the second period as Billerica trimmed NH East 3-1 – and Cosmo Siano scored twice in a 5-1 win over Wellesley;
Joe Gaziano and Henry Melanson both had 1-1-2 and Belmont built a 5-0 lead through two period and then held off Acton-Boxboro 5-3 – A-B with three goals in 71 seconds early in the third period; Jack Kelly scored two third-period goals to give Dorchester a 4-3 decision over Reading – Eamonn Kelly with two goals and Luke O’Sullivan two assists in the win and Dan Hackett two assists in the loss; Dom Cardillo clicked for 2-1-3 and Josh Bradley and Wesley Rollins came within 2:39 of a shutout as Triton downed Winthrop 4-1.
The Revs and Natick both won twice in the North. Nicolas Dispersio and No. 35 both scored twice in the Revs’ 5-0 win over Triboro – and Owen Cacciatore had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory over Parkway; Brendan MacDonnell and Joe Cogliano scored in the third period as Natick edged Medfield 2-1 – and Czech had 2-1-3, MacDonnell also scored twice and Malcolm had two assists in a 6-2 victory over Hyde Park;
Max Vieira had a goal and an assist in Cape Ann’s 3-1 victory over Tewksbury; Dylan Soucey came within 2:12 of a shutout and Ryan Frasca and No. 29 scored 1:19 apart in the third period as Haverhill/Pentucket trimmed Stoneham 3-1; No. 5 scored the winner in the second period as Melrose nipped Somerville 3-1; Jake Dapolite snapped a 2-2 tie with 39 seconds left in the second period as Triboro downed Brookline 4-2; Jacob Noe scored with 40 seconds left and Andrew Cohen followed with :03 on the clock to as Brookline scored four times in the last 7:42 for a 5-4 decision over Parkway – Dave Albrecht with two goals in the win and Conor Westrob 2-1-3, Tom Moylen 1-1-2 and Tom O’Brien two assists in the loss; and Joe Jourdan scored 16 seconds into the third period to give Needham a 1-1 tie with Hyde Park – Sullivan with a second-period goal for HP.
The Railers won twice in the South. Jack Hansen scored two goals and set up another and Gian Zambrano had a goal and an assist as the Railers trimmed Dorchester 3-1 – and Hansen wore the hat in a 5-2 win over Twin City;
Ryan McNulty scored all five goals in Nashoba’s 5-4 win over SMS – Nick Tenaglia with two goals in the loss; Tom Driscoll clicked for 1-2-3, Aiden Boucher and Andrew Teduits both scored twice and Owen DelValle 1-1-2 in Charlestown’s 8-1 victory over Andover; Dan Defeo scored twice, Chris Sheppard, Zach MacInnes and Nate Leydon all posted 1-1-2 and Danny McGahan had two assists in Woburn’s 8-4 victory over Concord-Carlisle – Thorpe with a hat trick and Lenkutis 1-1-2 in the loss; Tenaglia scored twice as SMS defeated Acton-Boxboro 6-3 – Josh Beggs with 1-1-2 in the loss; Rinaldi wore the hat in Newburyport’s 5-2 victory over Dorchester; Medford trimmed Twin City 4-2; and Hayden Leveroni scored twice and Chris Locke had two assists in Marblehead’s 5-2 triumph over Medford.
The Revs had a win and a tie in the East. Alan Grebelsky pitched a shutout and Cooper Serocki scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Amesbury – and John Oliveira scored 24 seconds into the game for the Revs and Riley McCann answered later in the first period en route to a 1-1 tie;
Colin Stevenson and Andrei Carnes both had a goal and an assist in Winchester’s 6-3 victory over Arlington – Kirchner with a goal and two assist in the loss; Mike St. Cyr scored twice in Framingham’s 4-3 decision over Dedham – Coll with two goals in the loss; Sam Elliott scored with 5:52 left and Nolan Locke, who also had an assist, scored with 23 seconds remaining to give North Andover a 3-3 tie with Reading – Tristian Moreau with two goals for Reading; Gio Recupero and Recupero both scored twice as Amesbury topped Haverhill/Pentucket 7-1; Aiden Ramshaw scored one goal and handed out four assists, Sam Foulds scored four goals and Zach McCoy has 1-1-2 in Concord’s 8-2 victory over South Boston; Vazquez scored the winner late in the second period and T. Collins posted 1-1-2 as Medfield edged Triboro 3-2; Sam Goslin scored twice, Cam Ingram and Finn Bussier both had 1-1-2 and Tyler Brooks two assists as NH East topped Framingham 7-1; and Alex Liebson wore the hat as Cambridge defeated South Boston 6-2.
Needham won twice and the Railers had a win and a tie in the West. Krystian Reese scored one goal and set up two others, Gordon Gibbons had 1-1-2, Nathan Garceau had two assists and Dylan Michelow pitched a shutout in Needham’s 6-0 win over Dorchester – and Reese scored with 90 seconds left to give Needham a 3-2 decision over Waltham; Trevor Norum pitched a shutout as the Railers downed Brookline 2-0 – and Brayden Baillargeon ended Max Santiago’s shutout with 2:47 left to give the Railers a 1-1 tie with the Demons, who got a goal from George Gabriel late in the second period;
James Brideau wore the hat and Jaxon Decker had two assists in North Central’s 6-3 victory over the Leafs – Lukel Frauton with two goals in the loss; Ryan Todisco had a goal and two assists in 95 seconds early as Andover edged North Central 3-2; Marcus Paes, who also had an assist, scored the winner with 8:05 remaining to give Parkway a 3-2 decision over Wakefield; and Frauton had two goals and an assist in the Leafs’ 6-3 victory over Billerica.
Southern Maine and the Revs both won twice and the Railers had a win and a tie in the North. Dante Reali and Cole Allen both posted a goal and an assist in Maine’s 3-1 victory over Agawam – and Reali had two assists in the third period and Cole scored the winner with 5:10 left in a 3-1 decision over Cape Ann; CJ Reding and No. 32 both scored twice as the Revs topped S&S 4-2 – and Eric Farrell scored twice in a 3-1 triumph over Natick; Max Howard’s second goal of the game, with 4:40 left, was the winner and Robert Christman had 1-1-2 as the Railers edged the Crusaders 4-3 — Cole Howard with two goals in the loss – and Cam Gagnon of Wilmington and Owen Yeaw of the Railers swapped first-period goals in a 1-1 tie;
Pablo Ellsworth pitched a shutout and John Whouley scored early in the second period as Belmont edged Cape Ann 1-0; and Cole Morse set up two goals and Richard Moretti scored on a penalty shot as Medford trimmed Agawam 3-1.
Greater Lowell, Beverly, Newton and Hyde Park all won twice in the South. Mike Desmarais had two goals and an assist, Tristan Dodge also scored twice and Sal D’Amico had two assists in Lowell’s 5-3 win over the Edge, who got two goals from Pat Caffrey and two assists apiece from Trevor Desjardins and two assists from Sal Pace – and Evan Mercier clicked for 2-2-4, Colin Underwood wore the hat, D’Amico scored twice and Desmarais also had two assists in an 8-6 victory over Lynnfield/Saugus, Joe Soares with four goals and James Glowacz 1-1-2 in the loss; Ryan Avila pitched a pair of shutouts for Beverly, as Mike Burns had 2-1-3 and Sam Craveiro two goals in a 5-0 victory over Triton – and Zach MacDonald posted 1-1-2 in a 3-0 win over SMS; Jack Thurmond posted 1-2-3, Colum Donovan scored twice, Charlie Jin and No. 4 both clicked for 1-1-2 and Kobi Balsam pitched a shutout in Newton’s 8-0 victory over Needham – and Tracy Pennington and Paul Kazorosian both posted 1-2-3, Mark Franklin and and Thurmond both scored twice and Balsam pitched a shutout in a big win over Concord; Stanton and O’Donnell both wore hats, Stanton with an assist, Rousenmeier had 1-2-3, Colleran also had two assists and Poma pitched a shutout in Hyde Park’s big win over Somerville – and O’Donnell posted 1-2-3 and Poma 1-1-2 in a 6-2 victory over SMS, Luke Swartz with 1-1-2 in the loss;
Abram Martell scored with 1:19 left to give Concord a 3-2 decision over the Edge – Matt Tetreault with two goals in the win; Matt Tataronis clicked for 1-2-3 and Connor Reeves and Cam Grant came within 3:51 of a combined shutout as the Edge topped Everett/Revere 4-1; and Griffin White wore the hat and had an assist in Triton’s 4-2 victory over Needham.
Medfield and Billerica both won twice and Stoneham and Haverhill/Pentucket both had a win and a tie in the East. Mathews had a goal and two assists in the second period and Gardiner posted 1-1-2 as Medfield edged Arlington 3-2 — and Gardiner scored four goals and set up another, Badger handed out four assists, Vazquez had 1-2-3, Wong three assists and Rocha two in a 9-4 win over the Revs; Mihael Ashminov and Ryland Correia both posted 1-1-2 in Billerica’s 3-1 victory over Woburn – and Ashminov scored twice in a 4-2 win over Lexington/Bedford; Barlow scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as Stoneham trimmed North Andover 3-1 – and Ryan Trainor scored the tying goal with 6:56 left and Jasper Bent assisted on both goals as Andover tied Stoneham 2-2, Chiordi with both goals and Daly assists on both for Stoneham; Paolo Orlando had two goals and two assists and Nathan Libby also scored twice in Haverhill/Pentucket’s 4-2 win over NH East – and Libby scored two third-period goals, the second with 1:12 left to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 3-3 tie with North Andover;
Quinn Fallon scored twice a s Burlington topped the Revs 4-1; Chris Maher wore a natural hat in the second period of Woburn’s 6-2 victory over the Revs; No. 22 snapped a 2-2 tie with 8:02 left as the Railers trimmed Lexington/Bedford 4-2; Diego Robles pitched a shutout and Riya Tanizaki scored late in the second period as Medford edged Burlington 1-0; Jack Allard wore the hat and Gabe Lozowski had 1-1-2 in Methuen’s 5-0 win over Concord; and Ryan Crosby and Tom Merkle scored late goals to give Reading a 3-3 tie with Danvers—Joe DeFrancesco with two goals and Luke Caruso two assists for Danvers.
Melrose won twice in the West. Jack Kiernan scored the winner with 5:45 left and Danny Dussault assisted on both goals in a 2-1 decision over Cambridge – and Aaron Al-Marayati and JoJo Smith shared the shutout, Kiernan scored twice and Jason Pino had two assists in a 3-0 victory over Parkway;
Brady Cormier scored twice and Chris Merchant had a goal and an assist in Twin City’s 4-2 victory over the Railers; Matt O’Grady had 1-1-2 and Brendan Campbell two assists in a 1:08 span of the first period as Waltham edged Tewksbury 2-1; Deegan Atkinson and Aidon Doe shared the shutout and Josh Narducci scored early as the Leafs nipped Triboro 1-0; Jack Bretl had 1-1-2 as Concord-Carlisle defeated the Railers 5-2—McWilliams with two goals in 16 seconds in the loss; and Brodie Davidson pitched a shutout and Natalie Pan scored in the first period as Brookline trimmed Belmont 2-0.
