Spring League - Week Ending 5/13

MITES

 

The Americans (McLean) exploded offensively for two victories. Matt Ulmschneider scored four goals and set up three others, Chase McEwen and Lucas Hould both wore hats, McEwen with two assists and Hould one, Jameson Needham had two goals and an assist and Mason McLwean also scored twice in a big win over the Blades – and Needham erupted for eight goals and five assists in a loud victory over the Gladiators;

 

Grady Stickney scored five goals and set up another, Tim Perachi wore the hat and Kevin Greelish delivered two goals and an assist as the Chiefs (Warriors Kneeland) scored a big win over the Americans (Dixon); Camdyn scored eight goals, Jackson posted four goals and four assists, McCarthy scored twice and Bunez had two assists as the Blades defeated the Gladiators 15-7 – Anderson with a hat trick and two assists in the loss; Jack Ryan scored two goals and handed out three assists, Kyle Mackeen and Kevin Cullity both wore hats and added an assists, Timmy Sullivan and Zach Herland both also scored twice and Blake Ward had 1-1-2 in Warriors Griffin’s big win over the Gladiators; and DiFrancesco wore the hat and No. 4 had 1-1-2 as the Mass Bay Chiefs downed the Americans (Dixon) 7-3 – Charlie Recinito with two goals in the loss.

 

SQUIRTS

 

The Americans and Warriors Russo both won twice in the North. Andrew Martin scored four straight goals, Tom Finn had a goal and an assist and Nathan Michaud pitched a shutout in the Americans’ big win over the Generals – and Ryan MacCurtain scored five goals and set up another and Tim McColgan and Finn also came through with 1-1-2 in a 9-1 victory over the Redman; Jake Morowski clicked for two goals and an assist, Colten Russo posted 1-1-2, Sam Sanfillipo had two assists and Von Larson pitched a shutout as Warriors Russo topped Warriors Logue 5-0 – and Russo scored four goals and set up another, Joey Lebrun clicked for 2-2-4, Sean Tatten and David Vater both had a goal and three assists, Nolan Hacket had 1-2-3 and Cole Bradford and Morowski both also scored twice in a loud victory over the Leprechauns;

 

Pickering scored five goals, including four straight, Blatt scored twice, Evans had two assists and King pitched a shutout as the Flyers defeated Warriors Madill 8-0; and Nolan Solemina scored twice, James Levelle had a goal and an assist and Andrew Maravellis delivered two assists as the Roadrunners topped the Generals 6-3 – Isaac Tavares with two goals in the loss.

 

Warriors Mericantante won twice and the Americans had a win and a tie in the South, Constantine scored four goals, Sullivan also wore a hat, adding an assist, Cunha and Mericantante both posted 1-1-2 and Cronin pitched a shutout in the Warriors’ big win over the Mustangs – and Foley wore the hat, Sullivan had 1-2-3, Manbro had 1-1-2 and Cronin pitched another shutout in an 8-0 triumph over the Sachems; Daniel Chan scored five goals and set up another, Sean Tatten and David Vater both scored one goal and handed out three assists, Dylan Smith scored twice and Declan McLean had 1-1-2 in the American’s big win over Warriors Madill – and Cole Corbett and Ryan Hudd (one assist) scored 1:30 apart in the third period to give the Shamrocks a 4-4 tie with the Americans;

 

Tim Rosenthal scored twice as Haverhill defeated the Islanders 4-2; Dembowski came through with 2-1-3, Talty had 1-1-2 and Morgan handed out two assists as IHC topped the Flyers 3-2; and Pat Quill scored four goals, Liam Connelly posted 2-1-3 and Ella McDonald had two assists in the Sachems’ 7-1 victory over the Meercats.

 

In the East, Dom Melito wore the hat and Finn Feeney had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners topped Winthrop 7-3 – Joe Pumphret with 1-1-2 in the loss; Mikey Ronan and Mike Millett both scored four goals – Millett scoring on a penalty shot, and had two assists, and Cam Amero scored twice as the Dragons got by Belmont 11-7 – No. 35 with 2-1-3 and Carter Houseman also with two goals in the loss; James Caruso scored one goal and handed out three assists and Stephen Rizzo posted 1-1-2 as the Meercats trimmed Belmont 7-5 – Petie Dimas with a hat trick and No. 89 1-1-2 in the loss; and Tony Bordonaro wore a natural hat, Angels Coscia dished out three assists and Adam Mouhib added 1-1-2 in the Vikings’ 9=1 victory over the Dragons.

 

PEEWEES

 

In the only game in the North, Byron’s second goal of the game, with 2:04 remaining, gave Top Gun a 2-2 tie with the Edge.

 

In the South, Granger scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as the Savages edged Warriors Ward 3-2; Jovani Fonzi wore the hat, Cullen Walsh clicked for 2-1-3 and Matt Morelli had 1-1-2 as Warriors Harb downed the Hornets 8-2; Yeung scored twice and Barnes had 1-1-2 in the Rangers’ 5-3 victory over the SavagesMcGonigle with 1-1-2 in the loss; Mantenuto wore a third-period hats and Marshall posted 2-1-3 in Beverly’s 5-3 win over Peabody – Vargas with two goals in the loss; Leonard scored four goals, Cole had 1-2-3, McKenna had three assists, Vargas and Sutcliffe both clicked for 1-1-2 and Ogles pitched a shutout in Peabody’s big win over the Gators; Jacobsen had 2-1-3 and No. 4 dished out three assists as Warriors Ward trimmed the Rangers 4-1; Mason Luciano and JJ Avery both scored twice as the Americans nipped Warriors Harb 6-4 – Walsh with a hat trick and Drew Pulsifer 1-2-3 in the loss; and Jake Ryan scored four goals, Chase Darcey delivered two goals and two assists and Daniel Min had 1-1-2 as the Bulldogs topped Beverly 7-3 – Gray with 1-2-3 in the loss.

 

The Rangers and DOT Chiefs both won twice and Predators had a win and a tie in the East. No. 9 (there were two 9s) had three goals and two assists and Logan Rogers posted a goal and two assists in a 6-3 victory over Methuen – and No. 7 had 2-1-3, No. 9 1-2-3, No. 88 also scored twice  and No. 11 1-1-2 in a 7-2 victory over the Rams, Kelleher with 1-1-2 in the loss; Angie McGrath and Aidan Walsh scored 14 seconds apart in the first period as the Chiefs downed the Rams 4-1 – and Nos. 64 and 2 both posted 1-1-2 and Conor O’Neill came within 3:08 of a shutout in a 4-1 win over the Vikings; Simon Bissell scored two goals a and set up two others, Lucas Tinkham wore the hat, Jack Savage and Callahan both clicked for 1-1-2 and Nick Ottaviani also had two assists in the Predators’ 11-3 victory over the Gators – Noah Stickney with 1-1-2 in the loss – and Bissell and Brady McCormick scored third-period goals to give the Predators a 2-2 tie with the Hornets, who got both goals from No. 9; and Mantone clicked for 2-2-4 and Sheppard and No. 19 both also scored twice in Woburn’s big win over Newton.

 

BANTAMS

 

Warriors Harb won twice in the North. Nick Nardone scored the winner in the second period of a 3-1 victory over Warriors Blaeser – and Petisce scored twice, Harb had 1-1-2 and Busby pitched a shutout in a 6-0 win over Shamrocks Orange;

 

McKlusky came within 3:19 of a shutout and the Blue Wings scored both goals in the second period to nip the Vipers 2-1; Quill was in goal for the Americans and Mancini for Warriors Blaeser in a 0-0 tie; Carter Hillson scored twice and Jake Mamini pitched a shutoutas the Edge topped the Shamrocks 4-0; and Austin Curtis delivered two goals and two assists, Max Tong wore the hat, Danny Collins handed out three assists and Cole Cassidy came within 45 seconds of a shutout as the The Eddie topped the Edge 8-1.

 

The Falcons won twice in the South. Henry Butte scored two goals and set up another, Theo Martin posted 1-1-2 and Mike Powers had two assists in a 6-2 victory over Everett/Revere – and Powers had 2-2-4, Andrew Ferreira and Butte both clicked for 1-2-3, No. 2 also scored twice in a 7-4 win over the Americans, Dom Fanara with two goals, Ryan Kavanaugh 1-1-2 and Mike Fabiano two assists in the loss;

 

Li scored with one second left to give the Black Knights a 2-1 decision over Lynn; No. 99 scored with 3:22 left to give the Sabres a 2-2 tie with the Mustangs, who got 1-1-2 from No. 2; McAllister had a goal and two assists as Twice As Strong topped NES 5-2; Kavanaugh wore the hat and had an assist, Bobby Cooke had 1-1-2, Fabiano posted two assists and Kevin Popielski pitched a shutout in the American’s big win over Methuen; Tyler Beals and Brian Barry scored 1:14 apart in the second period as Wilmington edged Woburn 2-1; Connor O’Leary scored four goals, Ryan Dusabion clicked for 2-1-3, Ethan Qi handed out three assists, Anthony Angiuoni also scored twice and Mark Boyle and Alex Doudkin both posted  1-1-2 as the Shamrocks scored a big win over Haverhill; Scanazzarro delivered two goals and two assists, Gambale posted 2-1-3, Choate also scored twice and Riggins had two assists in NE Hockey’s 9-2 win over Woburn – Sullivan and Welch 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; and Jack O’Connell and Mike Capone scored in the second period as Lynn edged the Lancers 2-1.

 

The Hooligans won three times (one victory actually on May 6) and the Cobras had a win and a tie in the East. Viscione scored four goals and set up another, Fishlin posted 1-1-2 and Siano two assists as the Hooligans defeated Haverhill 9-1; Viscione scored four goals, Siano scored one goal and handed out three assists, Mitza posted 1-2-3, Iacone had three assists, Valentin scored twice and Gutierrez pitched a shutout in a big win over Wilmington – and Viscione scored twice, McIsaac had two assists and Gutierrez another shutout in a 5-0 triumph over the Arrows; Eamon Vraibel scored two goals and handed out three assists, Dylan Picard posted 1-2-3 and Ryan Mazimuch two assists as the Cobras topped the Sabres 6-1 – and Chris Leone scored two third-period goals to give the Cobras a 2-2 tie with the Lancers.

 

MIDGETS

 

The Lighthouses and Tewksbury both won twice in the North. Aaron Zenon scored four goals and Jagar Bentson, Payton Defeo and Korey Ouellette all posted a goal and an assists in the Lighthouses’ big win over the Chiefs – and Defeo had two goals and an assist and Breson Payne pitched a shutout in a 3-0 victory over JW Hockey; Campbell Pierce scored one goal and handed out three hits, Justin Petti wore the hat, Grant had 1-1-2, Nathan Silvia two assists and Martel and Letourneau shared the shutout in Tewksbury’s big win over the Warriors – and Mercuri wore the hat and had an assist and O’Keefe posted 1-1-2 in an 8-1 triumph over the Mad Men;

 

In the other game, No. 12 scored twice as the Chiefs trimmed the Warriors 4-1.

 

Pat Birmingham scored one goal and set up another in Amesbury’s 4-2 victory over Pentucket – Seth Robinson with both goals in the loss; Driscoll scored twice, Torrisi posted 1-1-2 and Doucette two assists as the Jr. Jumbos downed the Wild 5-1; Anthony Comito scored twice, Joe Shannon and Nick DelTrecco both had a goal and an assist and Mike DiPlacido added two assists in JW Hockey’s 5-1 victory over the Hooligans; Colby Roy and Leo Leleki both posted 1-1-2 as the Wild topped North Reading 4-1; Parent and Robinson scored late to give the Hooligans a 2-1 decision over North Reading; Fiorentino scored twice as the Chiefs topped the Hornets 4-1; and No. 8 scored with 8:56 left to give AC Daddys a 3-3 tie with the Chiefs.

 

Lightning Kobierski and Somerville both won twice in the East. JJ Thibert wore the hat and JJ Chancey, Nick Ippolito and Kyle Lonigro all handed out two assists as the Lightning topped Salem 5-1 – and Ippolito wore the hat, Andrew Bendaline had 2-1-3 and Sean Cordello and Ty Blumberg posted 1-1-2 apiece in an 8-2 triumph over the Mad Men 8-2; No. 6 had two assists as Somerville trimmed the Catamounts 3-1 – and Pigeon, who also had an assist, scored with 7:16 left to give Somerville a 3-2 decision over Pentucket; and Hart clicked for 1-2-3 and Latham scored twice in Salem’s 5-3 victory over Winchester.

 

The Bears won twice and the Chiefs and Warthogs both won a game and tied each other in the West. Mike Arsenault delivered two goals and an assist, Kyle Morris posted 1-1-2 and Tristan Goroshko pitched a shutout as the Bears downed Lightning Callahan 6-0 – and Mike Fiorenza scored twice in a 5-2 win over the Timbers, Skyler Cummings with both goals in the loss; Aidan Burke had 1-1-2 and Ronan Kelly two assists as the Chiefs trimmed the Timbers 4-2; Connor Feeney and Andrew Kass shared the shutout and Padrick Kelly scored in the second period as the Warthogs downed Twice As Strong 2-0 – and Dave Hederman of the Chiefs and Kelly of the Warthogs swapped second-period goals in a 1-1 tie;

 

Chase Peraults scored with 3:49 left to give the Lightning a 2-1 decision over the Friars; and Foley came through with a goal and an assist and Jake Brezner pitched a shutout in the Friars’ 4-0 victory over the Knights.
