Framingham Squirt C1 Team Plays Game in Honor of Devin Suau
The Framingham Squirt C1 team came together this past Sunday, October 22nd, in Cambridge to play a game in memory of Devin Suau, the six-year-old Framingham boy who recently lost his six-month battle with a rare pediatric brain cancer, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) this past Friday.
Devin was a huge fan of the color green as the Green Lantern was his favorite superhero. He has now become a superhero to many. The team wrapped up their sticks with green tape and players and parents alike wore green letter "D's" in honor of the young boy who some players shared a school with.
The Suau family developed the #WhyNotDevin campaign to raise awareness and to seek a cure for the aggressive disease. The campaign started in the Framingham community where Devin and his family lived. The hashtag spread far beyond the Framingham community, touching the hearts of people throughout the country.
