Waltham’s Jack Dickey and Arlington’s Jake Ferioli swapped second-period goals in a 1-1 tie; Mike Daniels scored two goals and set up two others, Brendan Ardito had two goals and an assist and Andrew Gallucci also had two assists in Wilmington’s 9-2 victory over Reading – Anthony Picano with two goals in the loss; and Trevor Mahoney, who also had an assist, started a rally with a goal nine seconds into the third period and Ed Fitzgerald then scored twice to give Winchester a 5-4 decision over Reading – Colin Van Stry with two goals and Josh Wang two assists in the win and Jack Donnelly a goal and two assists and Picano two goals in the loss.
Brendan Wojnarowicz scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as the Railers edged Framingham 2-1; Kevin Doherty snapped a 1-1 tie with 9:40 left as Wakefield trimmed Somerville 3-1; and Matt Rowan’s second goal of the game, with 49 seconds left, gave Belmont a 2-2 tie with Dorchester.
In the only game in the North, Owen Brea scored two goals and set up another and Justin Roche had a goal and an assist as Greater Lowell downed SMS 5-2.
In the South, Nick Trembly scored one goal and handed out three assists, Dom Drago and Pat Lucien both scored twice and Joey McNeely had a goal and an assist as Melrose downed Wellesley 9-3 – Mac Greene with 1-1-2 in the loss; Petisee had 2-1-3 and Drew, Murphy and No. 20 all posted 1-1-2 in Methuen’s 5-1 victory over Acton-Boxboro; Agawam trimmed Beverly 4-2; Aidan Magner scored twice and Will Moriarty had two assists in Andover’s 7-4 win over Beverly; and Casey Williams pitched a shutout and Cody Eaton scored in the first period as Waltham nipped Hollis 2-0.
In East action, Jaidyn Anderson scored four goals, Gavin Wilson had two assists and Steve Cramer pitched a shutout in Natick’s 4-0 victory over Triboro; Ryan Branson had two goals and an assist and Trevor Coughlin and Robert Love both had 1-1-2 in Reading’s 7-3 victory over Lynnfield/Saugus – Sieve with two goals and No. 84 two assists in the loss; Austin Annunziata and Brendan Currie both scored twice, Tom Sullivan had 1-1-2 and Cam Wickens pitched a shutout in Everett/Revere’s 6-0 victory over Reading; Denby wore the hat, McNichols posted 2-1-3 and No. 8 had two assists in Dedham’s 8-4 win over Framingham – Blake Manning with a hat trick in the loss; and Cole Lopilato and Landon Phillips scored third-period goals to give North Reading a 3-3 tie with the Railers.
Arlington had a win and a tie in the West. Dave Delaney scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Groton – and Masco got third-period goals from Logan McKenna (9:37 left), Cam Cannizzaro (4:16) and Rich Guarino (2:30) to wipe out a 3-0 deficit and pull out a 3-3 tie with Arlington, Delaney with two goals in that game too;
Brett Abreu scored twice and Brogan Murphy had two assists in Woburn’s 7-3 victory over Andover; Jacob Nee scored twice, Charlie Zucker and Josh Cutter both posted a goal and an assist and Brady Lewis two assists in Brookline’s 6-3 win over Hyde Park; Cloutier clicked for two goals and two assists, Mills had one goal and handed out three assists, Amblo posted 2-1-3, Flagg also scored twice and May pitched a shutout in Twin City’s big win over Tewksbury; Kyle Gelinas scored the winner with 3:15 left and Alec Beresford and Nolan Locke both had 1-1-2 as North Andover edged Concord 5-4; Colby Forestell delivered 2-1-3, No. 53 also scored twice and TK Ervin had two assists in Chelmsford’s 6-1 win over the Railers; and Nicolas DiPersio scored twice, Billy Johns and Nick D’Angelo both clicked for 1-1-2 and Jack Mahoney pitched a shutout as the Starhawks stopped the Edge 6-0.
In the North, Matt Gaeta came within 2:12 of a shutout and Nathan Page scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as the Leafs edged Cape Ann 3-2; Sean Butler wore the hat and had an assist and Derek Tevekelian scored twice in Shrewsbury’s 6-3 victory over SMS; Jack Venturi scored his second goal of the game with 5:15 and Jack Hurrell followed 1:17 later to give Haverhill a 4-3 decision over Amesbury – Ryan Frasca with a goal and two assists in the win; Connor McIsaac had 1-1-2 and Joe Osborn and Jeff Gutierrez pitched a shutout in Billerica’s 7-0 victory over Lexington/Bedford; and CJ Cellucci’s second goal of the game tied it with 3:40 left and Tom O’Brien then delivered with 2:16 remaining to give Parkway a 4-3 win over Allston/Brighton – Nathan Cohen with two goals in the loss.
In the South, James Dixon scored twice in Greater Lowell’s 4-1 victory over Winthrop; Evan Beaudet delivered 2-1-3 and Pat Welliver had 1-1-2 as the Railers topped Lowell 8-2; Dylan Servan, who also had an assist, scored with 1:01 left to give S&S a 4-3 decision over Methuen – Aidan Knight with two goals in the win; Drew Barrett scored twice, Zach Gori posted 1-1-2m Silvestro and Matt Barbera both had two assists and Pat O’Neil pitched a shutout as Wakefield downed Danvers 5-0; and Jack Rossi and Jenna Shutt shared the shutout and Bryan Guen scored early as Framingham nipped Arlington 1-0.
In the East, Christian Blanchette scored with 2:49 left to give Chelmsford a 3-2 decision over Shrewsbury – Hydon Forleo with assists on both goals in the loss; Carey Quinland and Grant Levinson (1-1-2) scored to give Cambridge a 2-1 win over Woburn; Bill Cronin scored four goals and Alex Marchand scored twice as Methuen downed Lynnfield/Saugus 9-1; Connor Knox’s second goal of the game, with 2:06 left, turned out to be the winner and Colin Fiske posted a goal and two assists as Lexington/Bedford edged Reading 6-5 – Steve Cormier with 2-1-3 in the loss; Andrew Cerone scored his second goal of the third period with 38 seconds left, after Nick Hart lost a shutout with 3:02 remaining, as Newton edged Wilmington 2-1; Josh Doherty assisted on one goal and then scored the tying goal in the second period as the Railers tied Haverhill/Pentucket 2-2; and Sele scored two goals in eight seconds in the third period to give Everett/Revere a 3-2 decision over Needham.
In West action, Jack Stiles wore the hat as the Starhawks scored a big win over the Leafs; Barscotti and Seery both scored twice, Berscotti with an assist, as Everett/Revere defeated Parkway 5-1; Tom Donovan, Drew Lavin and Will Ahearn all had a goal and an assist and Aiden Fitzgerald pitched a shutout in South Boston’s 6-0 victory over Hyde Park; and Shaun Marion snapped a 2-2 tie and scored two late goals as the Edge got by Twin City 4-2.
