Paul Nichols and Zach Wilson both scored twice and Tristen Vincent pitched a shutout in Newburyport’s 4-0 victory over Greater Lowell; Noah Drew scored what turned out to be the winner with 9:06 left as Concord edged North Andover 2-1; Ryan Horgan’s second goal of the game, with 2:22 left, turned out to be the winner as Groton edged Lowell 4-3; Luke Vaccaro scored his second goal of the game 39 seconds into the game and Sean Macdonnel followed with 2:51 remaining as Andover got by Chelmsford 6-4 – Timmy Kobelski with three assists and Billy Moulton two goals in the win and Shane Sutherland 2-1-3 in the loss; and Bobby Marcus scored his second goal of the game with 10:04 left to give Lexington/Bedford a 3-2 decision over Lynnfield/Saugus.
In the North, Peter Dres and Josh Amaral scored 28 seconds apart in the second period as Somerville edged Medford 2-1; Josh Legault scored twice in a 2:10 span of the second period as the Crusaders edged Newton 2-1; and Owen Brady had two goals and two assists and teamed with Owen O’Brien for two goals in 17 seconds in the second period as Parkway defeated South Boston.
