Bantam - Week Ending Jan. 15


In the only game, Jake Schultz scored four goals and Jake Despres and Jacob Perry both added two assists in Framingham’s 6-4 victory over Natick – Alex Crook with two goals in the loss.


Andover won twice. Matt Rigazio scored with 1:54 left to give his team a 5-4 decision over Newburyport, Griffin Coir with two goals and an assist and Steve Jean two assists in the loss – and Rigazio scored the winner early in the second period in a 2-1 decision over Concord;

Jack Gourley delivered a goal and two assists in Chelmsford’s 4-1 victory over Concord; Cal Barraclough scored twice, Griffin Coir posted a goal and an assist, Paul Nicholls had two assists and Tristan Vincent came within 2:16 of a shutout in Newburyport’s 5-1 victory over the Sharks; Savio and Roycroft both scored twice and Williamson pitched a shutout in North Andover’s 4-0 win over Greater Lowell; Kevin Donaghey snapped a 1-1 tie with 7:37 left as Reading trimmed Winthrop 3-1; and Jack Board scored the winner with 3:36 left and Matt Skillings had a goal and an assist as Triboro edged Groton 3-2.


Waltham won twice behind a pair of Jack Perry shutouts as Keith Ricci wore the hat and had an assist and Anthony Bitsoli had 1-1-2 in a 5-0 victory over Somerville – and Jordan Laudani scored one goal and dished out three assists and Ryan Provencher scored twice in a 4-0 triumph over Needham;

Carreiro pitched a shutout, Mike Holt scored one goal and handed out two assists in Medford’s 3-0 win over Somerville; Cole Dente and Liam McAnema both had 1-1-2 and Jake Ulwick pitched a shutout as Winchester downed Beverly 6-0; No. 37 scored twice and Josh Bemis had 1-1-2 as Agawam trimmed Danvers 5-2; Gavin Tobias clicked for 1-1-2 as Stoneham nipped Acton-Boxboro 4-2; and Cody Chappie pitched a shutout and Billy Doherty scored early in the second period as Tewksbury edged Woburn 1-0.

In the South, Katz and Cooper scored third-period goals to give Cambridge a 2-2 tie with Brookline; AJ Marinelli scored twice and James Trussell came within 2:29 of a shutout in Methuen’s 5-1 victory over NH East; Sergio Domingo scored twice, Caleb Birchem had 1-1-2 and Jacob Barrett pitched a shutout as Wakefield defeated Haverhill/Pentucket 4-0; Matt Dussault wore the hat and had an assist and Tim Healy scored twice as Melrose topped Burlington 6-2 – Joe Abramo with 1-1-2 in the loss; Joe MacDonald wore the hat, Owen Thornton posted 1-1-2 and Cullen Simes had two assists as Haverhill/Pentucket trimmed Nashoba 5-2 — Brandon Bailey with 1-1-2 in the loss; Carter Renaud’s second goal of a three-goal second period and Jacob Giacalone’s goal – set up by Renaud – 28 seconds later late in the period gave NH East a 3-2 decision over SMS; Greene scored twice and Kearney had two assists in Dedham’s 5-2 win over Natick; and Noah Pearlman scored one goal and dished out three assists and Tyler Hill had 1-1-2 in Framingham’s 6-1 win over Medfield.

Maine and the Edge both won twice in the East. Chris Westgate delivered a goal and two assists, Bradley McMains had 1-1-2 and Deryk Boles and Trinity Atwater shared the shutout in a 5-0 victory over Lynnfield/Saugus – and Isaac Grondin had a goal and two assists and McMains and Brayden Locke both had 1-1-2 in a 6-1 victory over Waltham; Jacob Smith and Nolan Foss both scored twice and Smith added an assist as the Edge defeated Concord 4-1 – and Dylan Sadowski snapped a 1-1 tie with 35 seconds left in the second period and the Edge nipped Concord 3-1;

Cole Wagner scored twice, Zhihan Xu posted a goal and an assist and Mihir Singh pitched a shutout as Concord-Carlisle downed Triboro 7-0; Jack Pothier scored with 5:03 left to give Waltham a 1-1 tie with Triton – Jakob Rainsford with a goal for Triton early in the second period; Divola pitched a shutout and Berquist scored in the second period as Lynnfield/Saugus edged Wilmington 1-0; Brendan Wojnarowicz and Luke Jodice scored 1:24 apart early in the third period and Hakim Kagni had 1-1-2 as the Sharks downed the Crusaders 4-2; and Drew Stanton scored the winner with 7:44 left as Triboro used a three-goal rally to edge the Sharks 6-5 – Sam Schiffman with 2-1-3, Wojnarowicz two goals and Tom Haugen 1-1-2 in the win and Pat Corkum 1-1-2 in the loss.

In the West, Ach Sarasin wore a natural hat, two of the goals 36 seconds apart, Charlie Chinian had two goals and an assist, Kyle Therrien posted 1-1-2, Kaleb Jakola had two assists and Spencer McCrillis pitched a shutout in North Central’s big win over Acton-Boxboro; Miller scored with 2:42 left to give Twin City a 1-1 tie with Chelmsford – Evan Coady with the Chelmsford goal in the second period; Charlie Regan ended Bed Goodreault’s shutout bid with 1:45 remaining to give North Andover a 1-1 tie with Reading – Kyle Simard with the Reading goal 14 seconds into the second period; Anthony Papa and Tyler Forristall scored 2:31 apart in the second period to give Billerica a 4-4 tie with Acton-Boxboro – Kevin Faubert with two goals and Jack Davis two assists for A-B; Brendan Currie delivered 2-1-3 and Kyle Lacroix 1-1-2 in Everett/Revere’s 5-3 victory over Lynn – Devin with two goals and Gruhn 1-1-2 in the loss; Emma Skafas scored with 6:28 left to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 1-1 tie with Hollis – Colin MacDonald scoring for Hollis early in the second period; Brendan Butler and Eamonn Finn both scored twice in Parkway’s 6-1 victory over the Crusaders; Albert Horn wore the hat and Robert Horn had two assists as Wellesley edged Acton-Boxboro 3-2; and Joe Valone came through with a goal and two assists and Ricky Bowden also handed out two assists as the Sharks topped Billerica 5-3.


In the North, Matt Peterson wore the hat, Quinn Liu had a goal and an assist and Jackson Jakobo posted two assists as Arlington nipped Needham 6-4 – Marcus Roman and Tom Lucy with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; Reilly Quinn and Shawn Martell shared the shutout, No. 64 had two assists and Gabriel Nieto Osorio scored early in the second period of Greater Lowell’s 3-0 victory over Groton; Marco Cerbone scored twice in the second period and Ryan Luis scored what turned out to be the winner with 2:41 left in the second as Andover edged Groton 4-3 – Jake Gerace with two goals in the loss; Brady Little and Jason Bleau scored 25 seconds apart in the first minute of the third period to lift the Crusaders past SMS 3-2; and Jason Christlieb pitched a shutout and Mike Guiney scored midway through the first period of Natick’s 2-0 victory over Brookline.

The Cyclones and Triboro both won twice in the South. Cam Reinbold and Aidan Cardosi shared the shutout and Sebastian Zeman had a goal and an assist in the Cyclones’ 3-0 victory over Twin City – and Zeman scored twice and Ryan Callahan snapped a 4-4 tie with 8:36 left in a 6-4 win over Nashoba, Carlos Dion and Peter Bonenfant 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; Joey Lemoine wore the hat, Evan Hardy scored twice and Desmond O’Reilly had two assists in Triboro’s 6-0 triumph over Waltham – and Brendan McDermott scored two goals and dished out three assists, Hardy posted 2-1-3 and Colin Sliwinski had 1-1-2 in a 6-1 win over Twin City;

Madigan Anderson pitched a shutout and Scotty McCabe posted 1-1-2 in Nashoba’s 3-0 win over Newton; Max Todisco wore the hat, Aidan Foley and Kody Dicredico both had 2-1-3 and Nathan Bonsignore had two assists in Andover’s 7-1 victory over Marblehead; and Tom Callahan scored the winner with 8:31 left, Griffin Herring scored twice and James Maniaci had two assists as Marblehead edged Agawam 4-3 – No. 41 with 1-1-2 in the loss.

Dedham had two wins and Wakefield wore a pair of ties in the East. Anthony Iantosca wore the hat, Cohen set up three goals and Ryan Lahey scored two in Dedham’s 7-1 victory over Wellesley – and Chris Long clicked for 2-1-3, Iantosca scored twice and Leahy posted 1-1-2 in a 7-2 win over Waltham, Trent Fucci with both goals and Andrew Arena assists on both in the loss; Lanzarone and Riley scored late goals to give Wakefield a 3-3 tie with Woburn – Dave Peterson wearing a second-period hat for the Woburn goals – and Winchester’s George Shegog and Wakefield’s Tomsyck swapped second-period goals in a 1-1 tie;

Craig Regan’s second goal of the game snapped a 2-2 tie 17 seconds into the third period and Chris had two goals and an assist in Burlington’s 4-2 victory over Woburn; Andrew Galvin and No. 22 scored late to give Dorchester a 3-2 decision over South Boston; Kelley pitched a shutout and Sivapala scored in the third period as Wellesley nipped the Outlaws 1-0; Matt Reed pitched a shutout and No. 7 and Nathan Laprade scored nine seconds apart in the first 22 seconds of the game as the Sharks downed Framingham 3-0; Jack Cicconi scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period and No. 10 scored twice as Waltham edged the Sharks 4-3; and Max Bauer posted 1-1-2 ad Henry Warren scored what turned out to be the winner with 7:56 left as Framingham trimmed the Outlaws 5-3.

SMS won twice and Wilmington had a win and a tie in the West. Matt Baird scored with 1:27 left to give SMS a 3-2 decision over Triboro – and Mathias Clot scored what turned out to be the winner with 6:44 left and Mikelis Tums had 1-1-2 in a 3-2 verdict over Shrewsbury, Pickering with 1-1-2 in the loss; Will Kenyon scored with 4:50 left to give Wilmington a 2-1 win over Haverhill/Pentucket – and Brown, who also had an assist, scored with 28 seconds left to give Wilmington a 4-4 tie with Lynnfield/Saugus, L/S having just taken the lead when Aidan Knightsd scored 17 seconds before Brown re-tied it;

Cam Avila wore a third-period natural hat and William Pollock and Jake Desmond both scored twice in Beverly’s 8-1 victory over Haverhill/Pentucket; Aaron Hickey, who also had an assist, scored two late goals to give Medford a 3-1 victory over Lynnfield/Saugus; Power snapped a 1-1 tie with 4:32 left and Shrewsbury got by the Starhawks 4-1; Deady set up two goals and Kirk scored what turned out to be the winner with 9:30 left as Medfield trimmed the Starhawks 3-1; Owen Hamburger scored with 29 seconds left to give Wellesley a 2-2 tie with the Wizards – Daniel Cai with 1-1-2 for Wellesley and Julia Lambert 1-1-2 for the Wizards; McKinley scored two goals and dished out three assists and Slattery wore the hat and added an assist in Somerville’s 7-2 win over Medford; and Petto scored twice and Coyle posted 1-1-2 in Hyde Park’s 8-1 victory over Needham.

NH East won twice in the Central. Adam Chalmers and Evan Samiotes both delivered a goal and two assists and Aiden Gallant dished out three helpers in an 8-5 victory over Natick, Stephenson with 2-1-3, Clifford two goals and Camacho 1-1-2 in the loss – and Chalmers wore the hat, Dan Jacques had 2-1-3 and Samiotes two assists in a 6-2 triumph over Acton-Boxboro;

Chalmers and Conway scored 32 seconds apart late as Dorchester downed Brookline 3-0; Jacob Walker wore the hat, two of the goals 50 seconds apart, Ryan Gifford scored twice and Sean Matthews had two assists as Chelmsford scored four goals in 5:12 and topped Methuen 6-2; McNealy pitched a shutout and Stepheson and Clifford both posted 1-1-2 as Natick trimmed Newton 2-0; Aidan Dowd scored twice as Concord-Carlisle defeated the Crusaders 3-1; Peter Miniutti scored twice in the third period and Tayin Desai had two assists as Lexington/Bedford edged the Outlaws 3-2; Alex Cusumano scored 33 seconds into the third period to give Cape Ann a 1-1 tie with Danvers – Logan Richardson with an early goal for Danvers; and Nick Studley clicked for 2-1-3, Harry Doyle also scored twice and Reading scored four times in the second period and downed Tewksbury 6-2 – Max Tempesta with both goals in the loss.
