Welcome to the *New* Valley Hockey League Web Site
VHL_header.jpgWelcome to the revamped Valley Hockey League web site. During the summer months, the VHL staff has been busy preparing the site for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. Visual and content enhancements have been made in order to improve the online experience for all visitors.

Here is a snapshot of just some of the many changes you will see throughout the site.

Social Media - The VHL is online... all of the time. Links to the VHL Twitter and Facebook pages are available along the top of the home page and under the main feature story. Take a moment to “like” our pages and we’ll keep you up to date on all VHL news and updates throughout the season.

Like Mike - Longtime Boston sports anchor Mike Lynch will once again be providing regular editorial contributions to the VHL site. In order for visitors to read all of his pieces - past and present - we have added a special “Mike Lynch Column” section on the right side of the page.

Players of the Week - One of the popular features of the VHL is the Fuddrucker’s Player of the Week program. Each week during the season, players of the week are selected for their outstanding performances. All honorees receive a Fuddrucker’s gift certificate via mail and they will have their name prominently displayed on the home page.

Standings, Schedules, and More - Making it as easy as ever to access important team information, enhanced navigation buttons for Standings, Schedules, myVHL and Championships (among others) are located at the top of the page. There is also a special section for Standings and Schedules at the bottom of the page. The drop-down menus will allow you to easily find information for your favorite teams.

Scrolling News - Keep up to date on league news. Also, don’t forget that the VHL staff is always looking for story contributions and ideas for posting on the site. Please send all story ideas and information to events@valley-associates.com. We appreciate your help in promoting the many impressive programs and players!

Rinks - One of the most viewed sections of the site is back and accessible via the top navigation. The “Rinks” drop-down menu provides a comprehensive list of all league facilities. Included with each rink listing (where available) is an address, contact phone number, web site, upcoming schedule, driving directions and weather report.

Weekly Roundups - They are coming soon... Rink Reporter Mike Shalin will be back to bring you all of the highlights from divisional action. A link to the roundups will be available on the home page, while an archive of all weekly roundups is available under the "News" tab at the top of the page.

Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to a great season.
