Peewee - Week Ending March 20
WHITE DIVISIONS
NH East had two wins and a tie and Casco Bay also won twice. Beau Arsenault’s goal with 4:57 left turned out to be the winner and Colin Fleming and Liam McNamara lost their shutout when Mike Jones scored with 50 seconds left in NH East’s 2-1 decision over Waltham; Jared Vincent scored the winner with 5:29 left and Jake Vadeboncoeur scored twice in a 3-2 win over Marblehead – and Trevor Lachance scored with 7:02 left to give the Gladiators a 1-1 tie with NHE, which went ahead when Vadeboncoeur scored eight seconds into the third period; Robert Murray had 1-1-2 and Casco Bay stopped Waltham, 5-2 – and Muuray (1-1-2) scored the winner with 7:19 left as Casco Bay rallied from three goals down to nip Andover, 4-3, as Ben Ekedahl also had 1-1-2 in the win and Steve Schuhwerk 1-2-3 in the loss;


Kevin Quinn and Jimmy Connolly scored 4:14 apart in the third period to give Chelmsford a 2-1 decision over Andover; Heath King and Mike Curley both scored twice, Bradley Kelleher had 1-1-2 and Dave Batterton had two assists as Maples defeated the Renegades, 6-1; Drew Logue scored twice and Mark DeBenedictis had 1-1-2 in Waltham’s 3-1 win over Concord; and Stephen Young pitched a shutout and Danny Tighe scored with 6:44 left as Reading edged Concord, 1-0.


BLUE DIVISIONS
Stoneham and Winthrop both won twice, while the Wizards, Maples and Andover all had a win and a tie, the Wizards and Maples tying each other. Pat Harrington wore the hat, Mike Gallant posted 1-1-2 and Ray Dufour pitched a shutout in Stoneham’s 7-0 win over Chelmsford – and Jake Paonessa (1-1-2) scored the winner with 15 seconds left in the second period and Harrington and Brendan Tarmey both also had 1-1-2 in a 5-4 decision over Methuen, which got 1-1-2 from Connor Dickson and two assists from Matt O’Connor; Devon Wall’s second goal of the game, with 3:12 left, gave Winthrop a 2-1 win over Woburn – and Frank Ferrara had 1-1-2 and Greg Gill lost a shutout when Jake McKenna scored with 1:11 left in a 3-1 Winthrop victory; Kelsey Ryan and Sofi Tamaro scored third-period goals and Shannon Griffin and Haley Driscoll both had two assists as the Wizards nipped Burlington, 2-1; Jack Aponas scored what turned out to be the winner with 4:32 left, Heath King scored twice, Andrew Siemasko and  Zach Lennon both had 1-1-2 and Mike Curley had two assists as Maples edged Acton-Boxboro, 5-4, as Nick Evans and Richie Planchet both had 1-1-2 in the loss – and King scored with 3:05 left to give Maples a 1-1 tie with the Wizards, who got a first-period goal from Kate Pacienza; Colby Keller scored with 7:33 left to give Andover a 2-1 victory over North Reading – and Tom Mapstone (2-1-3) and Mike Biddle (2-1-3) scored 23 seconds apart late and Keller had three assists as Andover rallied from four goals down and tied Agawam, 4-4, Mike Gillis with 1-2-3 and Dan Frey 1-1-2 in a four-goal first period for Agawam;


Bertolami had 1-1-2 and Dan Blase two assists in a 3:49 span of the first period and Burlington edged Masco, 2-1; Tre Kehoe, Alec McPherson and Ricky Kennedy all posted 1-1-2 and Jack Gump posted two assists in Chelmsford’s 5-0 win over Winchester; Marc Faia scored the winner with 51 seconds left, Zach Sheehy had 2-1-3, Joe Coviello 1-1-2 and Ryan Noonan two assists as Malden/East Boston nipped the Renegades, 5-4 – Isaac Lapointe with 2-1-3 and Jack Verreault two assists in the loss; William Ohrenberger set up three goals and Bradley Murphy scored two in Concord’s 5-1 victory over Billerica; Scott Douglass pitched a shutout, Ethan Gordon scored twice and Dylan Smith had 1-1-2 as Lexington/Bedford topped Newburyport, 4-0; Sal Costanzo and Jameson Kamm scored 1:45 apart midway through the third period and Dylan Webb lost a shutout when Neenan scored with 1:40 left in Cape Ann’s 2-1 decision over Haverhill/Pentucket; Cole Julius wore the hat and had two assists and Chris Lattini two goals and three assists in Methuen’s 5-2 win over North Reading, which got both goals from Brzzese; and Eric Steeves had 2-1-3, Josh Buske delivered 1-2-3, Tim Benoit posted three assists and Pat Dunfey scored twice in Wilmington’s 6-2 win over Lexington/Bedford.


RED DIVISIONS
Salem won twice and Lexington/Bedford and Casco Bay Orange both had a win and a tie. Jacob Sylvester capped a three-goal Salem first period with a goal with 2:34 left and Salem went on to a 3-2 verdict over Medford, which got 1-1-2 from Tim McDonald – and Tom DeFelice (second goal of the game) and Sylvester scored 27 seconds apart early in the third period as Salem nipped Twin City, 4-2; Sam Potter scored with 27 seconds left to give Casco Bay a 2-1 decision over Reading – and Spencer Pierce was in goal for Casco Bay and Damien Delgenio for Maples in a 0-0 tie; Will Thomas scored twice and Aidan Byrne and Zachary Williams both had 1-1-2 in Lexington/Bedford’s 6-4 victory over Marblehead – and Casey Freehill’s second-period goal answered Dennis McCarthy’s first-period tally and allowed the Wizards to tie Lexington/Bedford, 1-1;


Robby Federico pitched a shutout and Jackson Sidford and Sammie Kelleher scored 13 seconds apart late in the second period of Newburyport’s 2-0 win over the Wizards; Abreau scored the tying goal with 1:24 left and Buckland had 1-1-2 as Billerica pulled out a 3-3 tie with the Gladiators; Ben Conccoluto scored with 2:35 left to give Wakefield a 4-3 decision over the Gladiators, which got 1-1-2 from Maxwell Giard; Jake Hudson wore the hat and Twin City defeated Melrose, 4-1; Cam Richall and Jeremiah Latham both had 1-1-2 as Hollis beat Medford, 5-2; Margossian scored in the first period and Reading stopped Maples, 2-0 (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); and Zach Gordon (two goals) snapped a 1-1 tie with 5:45 left as Newton got by Hollis, 3-1.


SILVER DIVISIONS
Reading and Nashua both had a win and a tie, the tie coming against each other. Nick Nadeau posted 2-2-4, Ryan Driscoll and Garrett Hoag both came through with 2-1-3 and Matt Murphy 1-2-3 in Reading’s 8-2 win over Burlington, which got two goals from Nick DallaSanta and assists on both from Nick Rajaratnam; No. 7 snapped a 2-2 tie with 2:54 left, Darwin Carozza scored 14 secods later and Mike Noke tallied twice as Nashua nipped Andover, 4-2, despite two goals by Caitlin Trottier and assists on both by David Zinland-Pukhovitsky  – and Kyle Diaz scored with 56 seconds left in the second period to give Nashua a 2-2 tie with Reading;


Kergo wore the hat and had two assists, Anderson posted 2-1-3, Murphy scored twice and Driscoll had two assists in Woburn’s 9-4 win over Andover, which got a hat trick from Tommy Giacchettoi, three assists from Zinland-Pukhovitsky and two assists from Ethan Brother; Zach Turner pitched a shutout and Cam Twomey scored midway through the second period as S&S nipped the Wizards, 1-0; Thatcher Adams and Geoffrey Burns  both had 1-1-2 and Evan Morrow delivered two assists as Concord-Carlisle topped Haverhill/Pentucket, 4-1; No. 3 wore the hat and had an assist and Anthony Diodati assisted on two goals as Haverhill/Pentucket beat PAT, 4-2 – Jeff Roy with 1-1-2 in the loss; Dalla Santa capped a hat trick and Kenzie Arsenault scored 49 seconds later early in  the third period as Burlington topped PAT, 5-3 – Cody Allard with 1-1-2 and Rowan Halloran two assists in the loss; Dom Scutti had 1-1-2 and Arlington beat Nashoba, 4-1; and Tyler Cloutman wore the hat and had an assist as Beverly edged Concord-Carlisle, 4-3 – Brian Knightly with two goals and Evan Marrow two assists in the loss.


GOLD DIVISIONS
Winthrop, Winchester, Lexington/Bedford and Methuen all won twice and Masco and Malden/East Boston both had a win and a tie. Rich’s second goal of the game, with 7:06 left, gave Winthrop a 2-1 decision over Newton – and Rich wore a second-period hat, scoring the winner with 29 seconds remaining in the second period, and Capone and Barry both posted 1-1-2 as Winthrop edged Lynn, 5-4, as Kevin Lombard and Chris Johnson with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; Robbie Abbanat scored the winner with 3:06 left, Scott Murphy had 1-1-2 and Matt Fagan two assists as Winchester edged Woburn, 3-2 – and Steve Osborne (1-1-2) scored the winner with 5:35 left and John Laghetto scored twice in a 3-2 decision over Methuen; Tom O’Brien set up three goals and Max Khozozian scored two as Lexington/Bedford beat Cape Ann, 8-4, Rollins wearing the hat in the loss – and Adam Deakin dished out four assists, Chris Leary posted 2-1-3, Khozozian scored twice, Anthony DeAngelis had two assists and Lucy Chin lost a shutout when Henry Miller scored with 3:16 left in a 7-1 victory over Wakefield. Ray Donovan scored all six goals and Liam Young assisted on three in Methuen’s 6-2 victory over Agawam – and Sean Bates and Nick McCool shared the shutout and Lexi Stanisewski had 1-1-2 in the second period of a 2-0 win over Wakefield; Carter Leary and Tommy Bennett scored a minute apart early in the second period and Masco trimmed Woburn, 3-1 – and Bennett had 1-1-2 as Masco earned a 2-2 tie with Reading; Anthony Cecca wore the hat and Tom Guarino pitched a shutout in Malden/East Boston’s 5-0 win over North Reading – and James Hanley scored with 41 seconds left to give Malden/East Boston a 2-2 tie with North Reading;


Ben White scored with 1:01 left to give Waltham a 2-1 decision over Winchester; Rollins scored twice and Scimone had 1-1-2 in Cape Ann’s 5-2 win over Wakefield; Cody Roork posted 2-1-3 and Brian Brazelle had two assists in Lynn’s 4-2 win over Danvers, which got two goals from DiScuillo; Amorello delivered 2-2-4, Meaney had 2-1-3, Kivekas had 1-2-3 and Minot and Wright both set up three goals in Agawam’s 7-3 win over Lynnfield, which got two assists from Ryan Maney; and Rico DiFronzo and Paul Saccardo both posted 1-1-2 and Chris Raymond lost a shutout on Evan Doherty’s goal with 3:47 left in Tewksbury’s 3-1 win over Reading.


GRAY DIVISIONS
Salem, Concord-Carlisle and Saugus all had two wins and Andover, Maples, the Wizards, Wilmington and Nashua all posted a win and a tie, Wilmington and Nashua tying each other.  Owen McNamara scored the winner with 53 seconds left and Ian Birmingham had 1-1-2 in Salem’s 4-3 decision over Twin City, which got 1-1-2 from Brett Vacarelo – and Robert Merchel’s goal with 4:04 left in the second period turned out to be the winner as Salem edged North Andover, 3-2; Alex Hill and Roy Oza both scored twice in Concord-Carlisle’s 6-0 win over Haverhill/Pentucket – and Tom Rodriguez scored twice in a 4-1 victory over Maples; William Kirk and John Torres both posted 1-1-2 and Christian Billingsley lost a shutout when Ryan Isley scored with 2:54 left as Saugus beat Lexington/Bedford, 4-1 – and Chester MacAskill had 2-1-3 and Torres 1-2-3 in a 4-1 victory over Waltham; Aram Smith and Mike Rose both scored twice and Connor Hillson delivered 1-1-2 in Andover’s 5-2 win over Winchester, which got 1-1-2 from James Downs – and Nathan Landry scored with 1:11 left to give Stoneham a 3-3 tie with Andover, which got two assists from Connor Hews; Ben Townsend wore the hat and Andrew Mills had 1-1-2 as Maples defeated Twin City, 6-3, despite two goals by Jarid Bergeron and two assists by Noah Lawrence; Kim Vetrano pitched a shutout and Sydney Fischelis and Rowan Sullivan scored in the second period as the Wizard beat Salem, 2-0 -- and Kevin Thibodeau was in goal for Maples and Vetrano for the Wizards in a 0-0 tie; Christian Medugno pitched a shutout and Kyle Penney had 1-1-2 in Wilmington’s 3-0 win over Waltham; Mike Talbot posted 2-1-3 in Nashua’s 4-0 win over Burlington – and Brendan McGaffigan scored with 6:31 left to give Wilmington a 1-1 tie with Nashua, which got a second-period goal from Cody Springs;


Spencer Jorgensen had 1-2-3 and Roy Oza 1-1-2 in North Andover’s 7-1 win over Concord-Carlisle; Anthony DiMaggio beat Jackson Elmore with 2:34 left to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 1-1 tie with Arlington, which went ahead when Marc Tardieux scored with 7:10 left;  Logan D’Auria’s second goal of the game, with 2:28 left in the second period, was the tying tally and Kyle Capelo had 1-1-2 as Burlington earned a 4-4 tie with Winchester, which got 2-1-3 from Tim Albert and 1-2-3 from Alex Pugh; Ethan LeBlanc and Fucci both had 1-1-2 in Peabody’s 3-1 victory over Newburyport; John Michael Keating wore the hat and had an assist and Steve Foley posted 1-2-3 in Medford’s 5-1 win over Melrose; Connor Mulligan scored the winner with 5:55 left and James Driscoll had 1-1-2 in Groton’s 3-2 decision over Newton; and Jarrett Janeiro had 1-2-3 and Drew DiFraia 1-1-2 as Melrose beat Groton, 5-1.
