Squirt - Week Ending November 7
WHITE DIVISIONS
Casco Bay won twice. Justin Ray and Donato Tocci scored 49 seconds apart in a four-goal first period that led Casco to a 4-3 decision over Framingham, which got two goals from Jack Curran – and William Dineen scored twice in a 4-2 victory over Andover.


Mike Callahan and Mark DeCourcey both had a goal and an assist and Pat Connor lost a shutout when Andrew Hart scored with 1:20 left in Arlington’s 4-1 win over Waltham; Tyler Gnerre scored with 7:54 left to give Burlington a 4-4 tie with Winchester, which got two goals from Gavin Dauer and 1-1-2 apiece from Henry Sergenian and Antonio Andreozzi; Anthony Bono scored his fourth goal of the game with 3:52 left to give Saugus a 4-3 victory over Newton – C.J. Graffeo with two assists in the win and Liam McCarthy 1-1-2 in the loss; Reed Hopkins and Evan Cox (1-1-2) scored 10 seconds apart early in the third period as the Renegades nipped North Andover, 5-3 – Joe Phinney with 1-1-2 for NA; No. 12 and Dan Woods scored 15 seconds apart in the third period and Timmy Kippenberger had 1-1-2 as Wilmington edged Wakefield, 6-5 – Dan Guarino and Eric Almquist with two goals apiece in the loss; Pat Cooper’s second goal of the third period, with 3:48 left, gave Methuen a 2-2 tie with Reading; Ethan Coir’s second goal of the game turned out to be the winner in Newburyport’s 3-2 decision over Concord; Chris Ervin scored twice in Chelmsford’s 5-2 win over Melrose; and Jimmy Harootian scoired with 17 seconds left to give Salem a 3-3 tie with Melrose, which got all three goals from Mike Joyce.


BLUE DIVISIONS
Woburn won twice. Jake Bordonaro came through with 2-1-3 and Georgiana Santullo, Brett Cushing and Jake Heron all had 1-1-2 in a 6-1 victory over Winchester – and Tyler Manzi scored four goals and assisted on another, Bordonaro posted 2-2-4, Santullo had 1-2-3, Andrew McHale two assists and Jeremy Pica the shutout in a big win over Greater Lowell;


Ben Murphy scored 36 seconds into the third period as Acton-Boxboro blanked Stoneham, 2-0 (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); Vinny Ferraro and Ricky Longo shared the shutout and Brendan Smith had two assists in Billerica’s 4-0 victory over Burlington; No. 7 scored what turned out to be the winner in North Reading’s 4-2 win over Winthrop; Sam Rennick wore the hat, including a natural hat with two of the goals coming 29 seconds apart, and had two assists, Ethan Belt posted 1-2-3, Jason Corsetti added two assists band Ben Fougere pitched a shutout in Triton’s 7-0 victory over Greater Lowell; Noah Parenti scored the tying goal with 4:21 left, Alec Mahoney had three assists and Luke Khozozian 1-1-2 as Lexington/Bedford pulled out a 4-4 tie with NH East, which got 2-1-3 from Dylan Stutts, three assists from Owen Kane and went ahead when Stutts and Jack Marecki scored 12 seconds apart midway through the third period; Robert Higgins scored the tying goal with 5:24 left and Rocco Puccillo scored twice as Medford pulled out a 3-3 tie with Chelmsford; Sal Caterina wore a natural hat and had an assist, Luke Murphy posted 1-2-3 and Pat Keegan scored twice in Watertown’s big win over Haverhill/Pentucket; Robby Horne wore the hat and had an assist and Ryan Muniz 1-1-2 in Cape Ann’s 4-2 victory over Lynnfield, which got both goals from Jacob Diranian; Alex Jefferies had 2-1-3 and Jake LeBlanc also scored twice in Twin City’s 5-1 win over Groton; Mike Murphy’s second goal of the game, with 10:12 left was followed by Brendan Donovan (1-2-3) scoring with 5:04 left to give Reading a 3-3 tie with Tewksbury, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Kyle Lombardo and Colby Pierce; and Emma Doherty had two assists and Tom Muizulis scored what proved to be the winner with 7:47 left as Waltham nipped Watertown, 4-2.


RED DIVISIONS
Blake Bennett scored four goals to lead Amesbury to a 6-1 victory over the Wizards; Teagan Canning came through with 2-1-3, Olivia Finocchiaro had 1-1-2 and Caroline Cutter added two assists as the NS Vipers nipped Waltham, 3-2; Rein pitched a shutout and McLaughlin scored twice in Reading’s 4-0 win over Woburn; Max Perkell pitched a shutout, Pat Masci posted 1-2-3 and Tim Mazzei 1-1-2 in Arlington’s 3-0 victory over Concord-Carlisle; Jonathan Magee and Dan Mills both delivered 2-1-3 and Alex Sepe had 1-2-3 as Nashoba topped Danvers, 6-2 – Tommy Curran with both goals and Griffin Davis assists on both for Danvers; Nick Napolitano scored twice and Jared Coppola had 1-1-2 in Everett/Revere’s 4-2 win over Newton; Jack Crowley (1-1-2) scored the tying goal with 3:23 left and Jake McNeeley wore the hat and had an assists as Melrose pulled out a 5-5 tie with Andover, which got 2-1-3 from Cal Fumicello, 1-1-2 from Amogh Prakash and two assists from Jack Shannon; Cam Richmond snapped a 3-3 tie with 7:53 left and Mike Lundquist had 1-1-2 as Newburyport topped Acton-Boxboro, 5-3 – Cam Goulet with two goals in the loss; Matt Boudreau scored the tying goal with 21 seconds left and Kevin Corso scored twice as Wakefield pulled out a 4-4 tie with Methuen, which got 1-2-3 from Gavin Dickson and two goals from Ian Beeley; and Christian Fabbri scored what turned out to be the winner with 9:36 left as Agawam defeated Lynnfield, 4-2.


SILVER DIVISIONS
Nashua recorded a win and a tie. Stephen Licata’s second goal of the game, with 1:05 left, was the winner and Andrew Cavanagh had two assists in a 3-2 decision over Triton, which got two assists from Jack Niska – and Jason Thibert scored his second and third goals of the game in the third, capping the hat with the tying tally with 1:08 left to give Wilmington a 5-5 tie with Nashua – Dean Nally with three assists for Wilmington, while Elise Yabroudy had 1-1-2 and Ian Morse two assists for Nashua;


Jessie Staples had 1-1-2 and Andrew Cloutier scored what turned out to be the winner with 2:28 left in the second period as Chelmsford edged Wilmington, 3-2 – Tom King with both goals in the loss; No. 9 (coaches, a name???) scored four goals and assisted on another and Jacy Kretas pitched a shutout in PAT’s 7-0 win over Newburyport; Griffin Posey delivered 2-1-3, Beau Vernet had three assists, Luke Butler also scored twice, Brandon Hernandez had 1-1-2 and Joey Fernandes pitched a shutout in Lexington/Bedford’s 8-0 win over Everett/Revere; Diego Alvarez-Segee posted 1-3-4, Dom Cieri wore the hat, Dante McGrane had three assists, Nadia Plouffe scored twice, Ian Worthley had two assists and Jacob Spadafora pitched a shutout as Saugus scored a big win over Beverly; Brendan Lombard delivered 2-1-3, Brian Clougherty had 1-1-2 and Bret Benoit two assists in Lynn’s 5-2 victory over Cape Ann; Mike Kagan scored twice in a three-goal first period that lifted Marblehead past Malden/East Boston, 3-2; Derek Allen scored twice, Zachary Brown had 1-1-2 and Jack Williams two assists in Portland’s 4-1 victory over Chelmsford; Joe Cuggino posted 2-1-3, Joe Cornetta 1-2-3, Zach Prendergast and Dan Cornetta 1-1-2 apiece and William Thew the shutout in goal in Nashoba’s 8-0 win over Peabody; and Noah Razzetti delivered 1-1-2 in Twin City’s 5-2 victory over Groton.


GOLD DIVISIONS
Tewksbury won twice and Woburn III had a win and a tie. David Williams scored twice and Pat Letourneau lost a shutout when Conor Quinlan scored with 4:19 left in Tewksbury’s 3-1 victory over Burlington – and Robert Casey wore the hat and David Williams and Owen Smith both had 1-1-2 in a 6-1 win over Nashua; Dan Sullivan wore the hat and Jack Driscoll had two assists in Woburn III’s 5-1 win over Wakefield – and Andrew Brendline (2-1-3) scored with 3:45 left to give Woburn a 4-4 tie with Triton, which got two goals apiece from Mike Beevers and Connor Kohan and two assists apiece from Jake Wile and Schyler Cummings;


Ryan Welch scored twice in Waltham’s 4-0 win over North Reading (coaches, a goalie for the shutout????); James Ricciardi capped a hat trick with the tying goal with 19 seconds left and Will Toomey assisted on two of the goals as Medford pulled out a 3-3 tie with Burlington, which got assists on all three of its goals by James Crosdale; Tony Nargi (1-1-2) scored the winner with 5:31 left and Nick Deeb scored twice and Winthrop edged Saugus, 3-2 – Nick Aiken having tied the game just 17 seconds before Nargi came through; Maggie Pelletier wore the hat and had an assist, Taisya Rykova had 1-2-3 and Hannah Littlewood 1-1-2 as the Andover Girls defeated Greater Lowell, 7-2 – Andrew Pollard with two assists in the loss; Jack Campbell wore the hat, snapping a 2-2 tie with 1:28 and Jack Bracher had 1-1-2 as Newton defeated Stoneham, 4-2 – O’Connor with 1-1-2 in the loss; Zander Lizotte wore the hat and had an assist and Brady Desjardins scored twice in Portland’s 6-2 win over Nashoba; Alec Matho wore a natural hat as S&S topped Arlington, 3-0 (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???);  Colin Reddy’s second goal of the game, with 1:09 left in the second period, turned out to be the difference as Lynn held off Lexington/Bedford, 3-2 – William Cincotta with two assists in 20 seconds late for L/B; Anthony Survilas scored twice and Salem defeated the Wizards, 5-2; Jack Hyman wore the hat in Amesbury’s 6-3 win over Haverhill/Pentucket, which got 2-1-3 from McDonald; William Meusel and Gary Lorenz both had 1-2-3, Peter Jussaume scored twice and Matt Adema had 1-1-2 in Acton-Boxboro’s 6-1 victory over Agawam; and Jordan Kelly had 2-1-3, Eli Coleman 1-2-3, Jonathan Bolton two goals and Aidan Thorsteinsson 1-1-2 as Melrose topped Woburn IV, 8-4 – Richards wearing the hat in the loss.


GRAY DIVISIONS

Danvers and Methuen both won twice. Robert Prentiss wore the hat and had an assist, Kevin Rooney had three assists and Gavin Nareski had 1-1-2 as Danvers scored a 6-1 win over Newburyport – and, the next day, Prentiss was in goal and pitched a shutout and  Bailey Heald scored with 3:25 left in the second period and that was the difference in a 1-0 victory over Andover IV; Sarah Norton had a goal and three assists as Methuen stopped Masco, 4-2 – and Joey Labelle wore the hat and Methuen scored four times in the second period to build a 4-0 lead en route to a 4-3 win over Marblehead;


Jared Pennucci erupted for six goals, scoring twice in 30 seconds late for the win, and Matt Lydon had 1-1-2 as Reading pulled out an 8-6 victory over Billerica, which got a hat trick from Kallenberg, 2-1-3 from I. Cadden, 1-1-2 from Aprile and two assists from Mickle; Hooley wore a natural hat, Santaoianni had 1-1-2 and Briley pitched a shutout in North Andover’s 4-0 win over Burlington; Cliff scored four goals and had an assist, Kallenberg posted 1-2-3 and Mickle 1-1-2 in Billerica’s 9-2 win over Medford, which got 1-1-2 from Derek Lendall; Danny Broderick snapped a 2-2 tie with 3:29 left as Melrose defeated Newton, 4-2 – No. 5 with both goals in the loss; James Vadala scored twice in the first period and that was enough for Cape Ann to edge the NS Vipers, 2-1; Joey Robinson wore the hat and Nick Wollrath had 2-1-3 in Groton’s 5-1 victory over PAT; Jake Mabardy and Ricky Welch scored 1:51 apart in the third for the tie and Mike Bongiorno had 1-1-2 as Winchester pulled out a 4-4 tie with Andover, which got two goals from John Wacome; PJ Sullivan scored five goals and assisted on another and Sam Cashell (2-1-3) snapped a 5-5 tie with 3:16 left as Winchester overcame a hat trick by Lendall and nipped Medford, 7-5; Jason Schuler scored four goals, wearing a natural hat in the third period, and had an assist as Masco overcame a Mike Brogdon hat trick and nipped Chelmsford, 5-3; Jillian Miele wore the hat and Elaina Patermo pitched a shutout as the NS Vipers defeated Andover, 4-0; Ryan Frechette wore the hat and had an assist, Jarred DeBruin delivered a goal and three assists and Chris Sullivan pitched a shutout as Hollis beat Acton-Boxboro, 7-0; Dom Cosco pitched a shutout and No. 2 scored twice in Waltham’s 3-0 victory over Stoneham; and Jake Harvey and Mike Levinger both had a goal and three assists, Joe Jachinowski wore the hat and Charles Lambert posted 1-2-3 in Concord-Carlisle’s 9-4 win over Waltham, which got two goals from Diana Kirch and 1-1-2 apiece from Tim Pesek and Tim Sherman.
