Peewee - Week Ending October 31
WHITE DIVISIONS
Reading, Andover and Waltham all had a win and a tie, with Reading and Waltham tying each other. Stephen Young lost a shutout bid when Andrew Contrada scored with 1:51 left and Danny Tighe had a goal and an assist in Reading’s 4-1 win over Concord – and Reading and Waltham skated to a 2-2 tie; Steve Schuhwerk scored what turned out to be the winner with 5:03 left, Dan Gemmell scored twice and Brendan Croston had two assists in Andover’s 4-3 verdict over Concord – and Schuhwerk (1-1-2) scored with 55 seconds left to give Andover a 4-4 tie with Lexington/Bedford, which got two goals from Zachary Shpilner and two assists from Nick Parenti; Chris Alarie and Brendan Devlin lost a shutout when Elliott McGuire scored with 1:04 left and Tim Goode had two assists as Waltham nipped Chelmsford, 3-1;

Frank Ferrara scored twice and Mike
Zampanti had 1-1-2 in Winthrop’s 3-1 victory over Nashua; Christian Hennigar delivered 2-1-3 and Tim Kalinowski and Dan Gienieczko both also scored, Kalinowski scoring his 15 seconds apart as Marblehead beat Masco, 6-0; and Jean-Luc Dostie scored four goals and assisted on another as the Gladiators defeated Cape Ann, 6-0.

BLUE DIVISIONS
Wilmington and Andover both posted a win and a tie. Eric Steeves scored twice in Wilmington’s 3-1 win over Burlington – and Steeves scored his second goal of the game with 50 seconds left to give Wilmington a 3-3 tie with Billerica; Colby Keller’s second goal of the game, both coming in a three-goal rally over 4:29 in the third period, was the winner and Kyle Getty had two assists as Andover edged Reading, 3-2 – and Mike Biddle scored with 6:08 left to give Andover a 2-2 tie with the same team;

Corbin White delivered 2-1-3 and Joe Tansino and Chris Schwarze both had two assists as Melrose topped Billerica, 5-2 – Derek Abreu with both goals in the loss; Cole Julius wore the hat and had an assist and Chris Lattini posted 1-3-4 in Methuen’s 5-2 win over Salem, which got both goals from Jacob Sylvester; Mike Gillis (2-1-3) scored his second goal of the game with 3:01 left to give Agawam a 3-3 tie with Winchester, which got 1-1-2 from Owen Kramer and two assists from Dan Hennessey; Mike Curley wore the hat and had two assists, Zach Lennon collected a goal and three assists, Jack Aponas posted 1-2-3 and Andrew Siemasko had 1-1-2 as Maples defeated Woburn, 8-2 – Maloney with 1-1-2 in the loss; Jake Paonessa wore the hat, scoring all three goals in Stoneham’s 3-1 win over Everett/Revere; Joe Coviello scored two goals in 17 seconds early, Louis Staffieri also scored twice and Ryan Noonan had two assists as Malden/East Boston built a 5-2 lead and held of Waterown, 6-5 – Matt McGaffigam with 1-2-3 and Evan Ricci two goals in the loss; and Kyle Maxwell scored twice as Concord-Carlisle topped Newton, 3-1.

RED DIVISIONS
The Gladiators again won twice. Roman Dennis had a goal and an assist and Lucas Perry and Maxwell Giard both had two assists in a 4-1 victory over Concord – and Gordon Ide lost a shutout when Jack Fougere scored with 20 seconds left and Giard had what proved to be the winner with 6:02 left in a 2-1 decision over Maples;

Candan Iuliano scored twice, Ryan Christensen had 1-1-2 and Shane Correale two assists as Melrose defeated Wakefield, 6-1; Polichetti wore the hat and Kane scored twice as Haverhill/Pentucket beat Twin City, 5-1; Tom Doherty posted 2-1-3, Robbie Farrell and Pat Hart both had 1-2-3 and Brian McCarthy, Derek Briand and Jack Gump all had 1-1-2 in Chelmsford’s 10-3 win over Woburn, which got 1-1-2 from O’Connor; and Tyler Pouliot came through with 2-1-3, Brenden Tarlow had 1-2-3 and Fougere 1-1-2 as Maples topped Medford, 5-2.

SILVER DIVISIONS
Reading won twice. Nick Nadeau and Matt Murphy both posted 2-1-3 and Devon Brzzese and Mike Driscoll shared the shutout in a 6-0 victory over Winchester – and PJ McCarthy wore the hat and had an assists and the goalies pitched another shutout in a 6-0 triumph over Nashua;

Connor Desharnais had 2-1-3 and Nick Scali 1-2-3 in Burlington’s 5-1 win over Billerica; Jacob Lowen snapped a 1-1 tie with 9:15 left and John Laghetto posted 1-1-2 as Winchester nipped Burlington, 3-1; Jack Ouelette scored with 38 seconds left to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 2-1 decision over Concord-Carlisle; Nashua and PAT skated to a 0-0 tie (coaches, we need goalies); Olivia Gill delivered two goals and three assists, Morgan Griffin posted 2-2-4, Emily Frocione also scored twice, Amanda Saliba had 1-1-2 and Ashley Tucker pitched a shutout as the Wizards scored a big win over Peabody; and Shane Devlin snapped a 1-1 tie in the second period and Waltham went on to a 4-1 win over Groton.

GOLD DIVISIONS
Justin Cushing pitched a shutout and Stephen Crann got the only goal of the game past Peter Holt with 3:27 left as Woburn edged Reading, 1-0; Richards tied the game with 3:59 left and Robishaw then scored with 35 seconds remaining to give North Reading a 2-1 decision over Newton; Lucy Chin pitched a shutout and Brian Foss got the game’s only goal past Andrew Ludwig with 19 seconds left as Lexington/Bedford got by Waltham, 1-0; Jacob Towle wore the hat in Portland’s 5-3 win over Winthrop, which got two goals from Duyon; Tim Morris scored with 13 seconds left to give Tewksbury a 1-1 tie with Reading, which took the lead on a first-period goal by John Martinelli; Amorello wore the hat, Manogle had 2-1-3 and Meaney two assists in Agawam’s 9-4 win over Cape Ann, which got 2-1-3 from Rollins; and Mike Goroshko scored with 9:10 to give Malden/East Boston a 2-1 decision over Lynn.

GRAY DIVISIONS
Mike Rosen and Aram Smith both scored twice in Andover’s 6-3 victory over Medford; Rob Valeri scored with 7:08 left to give Arlington a 2-1 decision over the Wizards; Maxwell Sidell (2-1-3) scored with 6:45 left to give Concord-Carlisle a 4-3 verdict over Chelmsford, which got 1-1-2 from Brandan Lally; Salem nipped Melrose, 2-0; Matt Blair scored with 7:41 left and Katelyn Newton then delivered the winner with 2:15 remaining as Wilmington edged Groton, 2-1; and Kyle Norris posted 2-1-3 and Jarrett Janeiro 1-1-2 as Melrose beat Winchester, 6-2 – Alex Pugh and Scott Downs with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss.

BLACK
Aiden Shea (1-1-2) and Katie Scott scored 1:43 apart late to give Burlington a 2-1 victory over Lexington/Bedford; and Nicole Legere and Tommy Cope both collected 1-2-3 and Joe Cummings had 1-1-2 in Waltham’s 5-2 win over Newton.
