Squirt - Week Ending March 28
WHITE DIVISIONS
Burlington (one loss), Reading, Groton, Methuen and Cape Ann all won twice and Newton had a win and a tie. Dalla Santa had two goals and an assist and Desharnais three assists in Burlington’s 3-2 win over Waltham, which got a goal and an assist from Carson Takaoka – and Dalla Santa wore the hat and had an assist, capping his game with the winner with 1:24 left, and Bonanno had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 decision over Winchester, which got two goals from Joe Lepore and 1-1-2 from Mike Drew; Mike Driscoll pitched a shutout and Nick McFarland had 1-1-2 in Reading’s 3-0 win over Burlington – and Mike Tobin scored with 5:54 remaining to pull out a 3-2 win over Chelmsford; Murphy and Stairs (two goals) scored 52 seconds apart and Groton scored three times in the last 4:39 to defeat the Renegades, 3-1 – and No. 29 wore the hat, Murphy had 1-1-2 and Zinkann two assists in a 5-2 victory over Arlington; Kelan Mackey pitched a shutout and Codey Kaczysnki had two assists in Methuen’s 3-0 win over Andover – and Nick Foderaro posted 1-1-2 over a 2:58 span early in the game and Mackey lost a shutout bid when Dave Silveira scored with 2:36 left in Methuen’s 2-1 decision over Wilmington; Dillon Webb pitched a shutout and Christian Powers scored twice in Cape Ann’s 5-0 win over the Wizards – and Ryan Muniz and Sal Costanzo (2-1-3) scored 44 seconds apart midway through the third period and Liam Lyons had two assists as Cape Ann nipped Saugus, 5-4; Alex Daly scored four goals and Zachary Gordon two in Newton’s 7-3 victory over Newburyport – and Jacob Greene’s goal with 10 seconds left in the second period, only 11 seconds after Pat Scanlon scored for North Reading, wound up giving Newton a 2-2 tie, with Gordon posting 1-1-2 for Newton;


Kyle Franco scored with 5:38 left to give Winchester a 3-3 tie with Chelmsford, which got two goals from Rob Farrell; Nolan LaVallee scored five goals and assisted on another, Cooper Garrow posted 1-3-4 and Jack Jenkins added two assists in NH East’s 7-5 win over Casco Bay, which got 2-1-3 from Henry Norris and two goals from Bill Jacobs; Joe Grant set up two goals and Casco Bay edged Concord, 3-2; Hunter Mahoney scored the winner 49 seconds into the third period and Cody Doyon had two assists as the Renegades nipped Arlington, 4-3 – Matt Hart with two assists in the loss; Andrew Contrada scored two goals in 18 seconds in the second period and Andrew Cole had two assists as Concord got by NH East, 3-2 – Jenkins with 1-1-2 in the loss; William Schmidlein had what proved to be the winner with 5:13 remaining, Takaoka posted 1-1-2 and Luc Dullaire had two assists as Waltham edged Reading, 3-2; Joe Chasse wore the hat and Silveira had 1-1-2 in Wilmington’s 4-2 win over Agawam, which got 1-1-2 from Mike Gillis; and Nick Moheban (1-1-2) scored the tying goal with 33 seconds left in the second period and Alex Dalton also had 1-1-2 as Andover skated to a 3-3 tie with Agawam, which got 1-1-2 from Ricky Calvani.


BLUE DIVISIONS
Malden/East Boston and Lexington/Bedford both won twice and Melrose (one loss) and Wakefield both had a win and a tie, the tie coming against each other. Nick Salgado scored with 6:02 left and again with 3:38 on the clock and Louis Staffieri followed with the winner with 1:11 on the clock as Malden rallied for a 4-3 victory over Stoneham, which got 1-1-2 from Joe Carroll – and Anthony Cecca scored with 10:22 left and Salgado (2-1-3) followed with the winner 1:08 later, Ryan Noonan posting 1-1-2 in a 4-3 decision over Marblehead; Sal Frelick delivered 2-1-3 and Shawn Gallant pitched a shutout in Lexington/Bedford’s 5-0 win over Woburn – and Zach Chase had what proved to be the winner a minute into the second period of a 2-1 decision over Waltham; Shea Champagne capped a hat trick with what proved to be the winner just nine seconds into the third period, Justin Crowley had 1-1-2 and Shane Correale two assists as Melrose overcame a Manzi hat trick and nipped Wonurn, 5-4; Sean McNall wore the hat and Mark Delory had 2-1-3 to back the shutout goaltending of Brian Cannatta in Wakefield’s 6-0 victory over Medford – and Champagne (1-2-3) scored the tying goal with 3:24 left and Zack Farrell had 2-1-3 as Melrose pulled out a 5-5 tie with Wakefield, which got a hat trick from McNall and 1-1-2 apiece from Tom Lucey and James Casale;


Egan had two assists and Waltham stopped Melrose, 3-1; Ezekial Telemarco pitched a shutout and Shamus Lombard had two assists as S&S beat PAT, 4-0; Matt Bosco scored twice in the third period, Josh Palatine had 1-1-2 and Jacob Sitak two assists as North Andover edged S&S, 4-3 – Jack Poska with two assists in the loss; Henry Brooks scored late in the first period, answering an early goal by Hunter Newsham as Winthrop and PAT skated to a 1-1 tie; Mike Corrado scored with 3:14 left to give Nashua a 3-3 tie with Lynnfield; Kevin Bolio and No. 7 both scored twice in Salem’s 5-1 win over Reading; and Kyle Finch’s second goal of the game, with 1:44 remaining, gave Marblehead a 3-3 tie with Casco Bay.


RED DIVISIONS
Nashoba won three times, Marblehead twice, Triton had a win and two ties and Chelmsford posted a win and a tie, Salem a pair of ties, both against Triton, and Wilmington also had two ties. Jake Arnold scored twice and Matt Mead and Jacob Montepeluso both had 1-1-2 as Nashoba scored five times in the second period to beat Watertown, 7-4 – Jake Miller and Pat Keegan with two goals apiece in the loss; Manning Gallant had 1-1-2 in a 4-1 triumph over Newburyport – and  Mead scored twice and Joe MacDonald lost a shutout bid when Boyd scored late in a 4-1 victory over Haverhill/Pentucket; Spencer Perkins scored twice and Zach Titus had 1-1-2 in Marblehead’s 6-2 win over Amesbury – and Will Bosworth scored with three seconds left in the second period for a 2-1 decision over the NS Vipers; Josh D’Arcy scored twice and Will Sheehan and Sam Rennick both posted 1-1-2 in Triton’s 5-2 victory over Burlington, which got both goals from Kyle Barry and assists on both from Sean Casey; Jonathon Last scored with 9:04 left to give Salem a 2-2 tie with Triton, which got 1-1-2 from Kyle McKendry – and Rennick’s second goal of the game, with 49 seconds left in the second period, wound up giving Triton a 3-3 tie with Salem, which got 2-1-3 from Dylan Salvo; Pat Cooper scored twice in the third period and Chris Ervin had what proved to be the winner with 10:37 left in Chelmsford’s 3-2 decision over Methuen – and Ervin scored early in the second period, answering Jared Homola’s first-period goal as Chelmsford and Wilmington skated to a 1-1 tie; Homola scored with 1:06 left to give Wilmington a 2-2 tie with Andover;


Barry scored the winner with 1:27 left and Casey had 1-1-2 as Burlington edged Reading, 3-2; Colin Kiernan pitched a shutout and Liam O’Donnell scored twice as Melrose topped Methuen, 3-0; Will Thomas and Robbie Meehan both had 1-1-2 and Lexington/Bedford defeated Andover, 5-2 – Mike Rosen with 1-1-2 in the loss; Henry Nelson collected 2-1-3 and Jeff Costanza 1-1-2 as Concord-Carlisle topped Beverly, 6-3 – Colin Desmond with two goals for Beverly; Jack Ouellette had 1-2-3 and Tyler Campbell scored twice as Haverhill/Pentucket beat Beverly, 6-3 – Aaron Carroll with 1-1-2 in the loss; Stevie Osborne had 1-1-2 and Henry Lawrence two assists in Winchester’s 4-2 victory over Lexington/Bedford, which got both goals from Ben Stigberg; Jay Masci wore the hat, Jack Murphy and James Bradley both posted 1-1-2 and Joe Lynch and Mac Harris each had two assists in Arlington’s 6-3 win over Danvers; and Ryan Snook wore a natural hat and Jonathan Lariviere had two assists in Everett’s 4-2 win over the Wizards, who got 1-1-2 from Katerina Nikolopoulos.


SILVER DIVISIONS
Salem went 2-1 and the Andover Girls and Masco both went 1-1-1. Jacob Heckman scored with 8:15 left to give Salem a 2-1 win over the Andover Girls; Mason Healey scored the winner with 1:32 left and Tom DeFelice scored twice in Salem’s 3-2 decision over Stoneham; Caroline Benson wore the hat and had an assist, Cortney Pierre added two assists and the Andover Girls scored four goals in the second period and topped Salem, 5-3; Andover’s Emma Feeney scored with 4:25 left, answering a goal by Adam Merta of Arlington as the teams skated to a 1-1 tie; Brendan Donovan collected 2-2-4, Matt Tighe and Kevin Holt both wore hats, Joe Emilius set up three goals and Anthony Bonfilio two as Reading scored six times in the third period and beat Masco, 8-4, Andrew Gotts with 1-2-3 and Jake Tveter and Sam Whiffen 1-1-2 each in the loss; Tyler Petrillo scored 38 seconds into the third period to give Raeding a 2-2 tie with Masco, which got 1-1-2 from Gotts; Cole Esposito’s second goal of the game, with 45 seconds left, was the winner and Gotta had 1-1-2 as Masco edged Wakefield, 4-3, despite 1-1-2 by Pat Roche;


Aram Smith scored with 2:20 left to give Andover a 2-1 win over Woburn; Alex Johnson scored twice, snapping a 1-1 tie with 5:05 left as Wakefield got by Woburn, 3-1; Pat McGrath posted 2-1-3 and Cam Sheedy 1-1-2 in Nashua’s 4-1 win over Groton;  Matt Burke came through with 1-2-3 and Georgiana Santullo had 1-1-2 in Woburn’s 4-2 victory over Reading; Josh Soucy wore the hat, Colby Anton scored twice and Owen Dubois had two assists in Portland’s 9-1 win over Nashoba; Pat Guinee clicked for 1-2-3, Kevin McMullen had three assists, Derek Hopkins scored twice, Lucas Cornetta had 1-1-2 and Corey Sarazin pitched a shutout in Cape Ann’s 6-0 win over Newton; and Amorello delivered 2-1-3 and O’Connor 1-1-2 in Agawam’s 7-3 win over Medford, which got 1-1-2 from Nick Golini.


GOLD DIVISIONS
Triton (one loss), Winthrop, Winchester and Newton all won twice and the Newton Girls and Chelmsford both had a win and a tie. Schuyler Cummings scored twice, Max Scalley had 1-1-2 and Triton scored three times in the first period and topped Chelmsford, 4-1 -- and Ben Fougere pitched a shutout and Dan Tifmarsh and Cummings scored 2:38 apart in the second period of a 2-0 win over Melrose; John Rogowicz wore the hat, Jay Dolan had 1-2-3, Robbie Graf three assists and Stephen Holgersen 1-1-2 in Winthrop’s 7-2 win over Lynnfield – and Matt Capone wore the hat and had an assist, Dolan posted 2-1-3, Graf and Tyler Mignosa both had 1-1-2 and Marc Van Buskirk two assists in an 8-2 win over Lynnfield, which got 1-1-2 from No. 2; Jacob Lowen scored twice and Alex Pugh had 1-1-2 in Winchester’s 5-1 victory over Tewksbury – and Tim Ludman set up three goals, Pat Donaher and Charles Smyth both scored twice and Alex Pugh and Scott Murphy both posted 1-1-2 in an 8-1 win over the Wizards; Dave McCabe collected 2-2-4, Ethan Roberts had 2-1-3, Colin Buckton 1-2-3, John McCabe 1-1-2 and Tommy Robinson and Jack O’Dea two assists apiece in Newton’s 9-1 win over Cape Ann – and Isaac Madigan scored twice, Billy Wang had 1-1-2 and Roberts two assists in a 6-0 triumph over Danvers; Nicole Pollis pitched a shutout and Carley Daly scored with 8:20 left to give the Newton Girls a 1-0 decision over Newburyport – and Nick Parent scored with 10:54 left to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 1-1 tie with the Newton Girls, who got a first-period goal from Angelina Joyce; Will Bazemore scored with 5:03 left to give Chelmsford a 2-1 win over Triton – and Zack Curseaden (1-2-3) started a rally with 3:26 left, John Casey (3-1-4) then capped a hat trick with 2:29 left and Robby Blodgett scored with 35 seconds remaining as Tewksbury pulled out a 5-5 tie with Chelmsford, which got two goals each from Kevin Quinn and Tim McNamara and two assists from Sean Hallion;


Katherine Ellis posted 2-2-4 and Margaret Sullivan 1-3-4 as the Wizards beat Burlington, 6-2 – Mitch Maida with 1-1-2 in the loss; Sam Whittredge set up three goals, Joe Lemoure two and Saugus scored three times in the first period and topped Watertown, 4-2; Matt Lane wore the hat in Methuen’s 3-0 win over Greater Lowell (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); and Dawson Taylor had 2-1-3 and Adam Berger three assists in Greater Lowell’s 3-1 decision over Melrose.


GRAY DIVISIONS
Burlington won three times, while Masco and Reading were both 2-0, Peabody went 2-1 and Nashua and Marblehead both had a win and a tie. Paul Barbieri capped a 3-1-4 performance with the winner with 51 seconds left and Aiden Shea posted 1-1-2 in Burlington’s 5-4 decision over Andover, which got two goals from Calvin Fumicello and 1-1-2 from William Hamilton; Barbieri had 1-1-2] in a 5-2 win over Woburn, which got both goals from Harrison – and Sean Surabian wore the hat and had two assists, Glennon wore a natural hat and Mitch Maida had 1-1-2 in a 7-3 win over Andover; Wilson pitched a shutout, Dylan Campbell and No. 96 both had 1-1-2 and Freddie Sordillo posted two assists in Masco’s 3-0 win over Wilmington – and Cole Esposito had 2-1-3, Campbell also scored twice, Alex Quealy and Rachel Tammaro both had 1-1-2 and goalie Angelo DiFillippo had an assist in a 7-4 win over Wilmington, which got two goals from Ellen Farrell, 1-1-2 from Olivia Wingate and two assists from Katelyn Newton; Jacob Pineau’s second goal of the game, with 6:47 left, was the winner and Jim Murphy had two assists as Reading edged Wilmington, 3-2 – and Jackson Greene’s second goal of the game, with 3:53 left, was the winner and Pineau posted 1-1-2 in a 4-3 win over Andover; Zack DeFreitas had 2-1-3 and Brandon Muise 1-1-2 in Peabody’s 5-2 win over Lexington/Bedford, which got both goals from No. 17 -- and Christian Jones scored late in the first period of Peabody’s 3-0 win over S&S (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); Liam Nye scored with 6:20 left and again with 1:33 on the clock for the win and Noah Melker had two assists as Nashua pulled out a 4-3 victory over Peabody, which got two goals from Zack Grayton – and Nick Cecere’s second goal of the game, with 37 seconds left, gave Wakefield a 3-3 tie with Nashua; Matt Moulaison scored twice and Marblehead defeated Waltham, 5-2 -- and Ben McAfee’s second goal of the game, with 2:40 left, gave Amesbury a 3-3 tie with Marblehead;

Josh Small had 2-1-3 and Sam Perry pitched a shutout in Methuen’s 5-0 victory over Chelmsford; Amanda Blanchette scored with 10:22 remaining to give Beverly a 2-1 win over Waltham; Brendan Ferguson and Victor Kratik scored 1:53 apart early in the third period and S&S nipped PAT, 4-2; Dan Mills had 2-1-3 and Joey Cuggino also scored twice in Nashoba’s 5-1 win over Beverly; Evan Leonard and Jake Reardon both scored twice and Matt Metras had 1-1-2 in Groton’s 7-3 victory over Wakefield; Kerri McKinnon wore the hat, scoring twice in a 20-second span of the third period, and Ryan Destefano had two assists as Saugus beat North Reading, 3-1; and Courtney Nelson scored the winner with four minutes left and Mike Twomey tallied twice as Newburyport edged Agawam, 3-2.

BLACK
Winchester and Medford both won twice, Medford winning behind a pair of Shane Corbett shutouts. Mike Surabian wore the hat and had two assists, Ricky Welch posted 2-2-4 and Matt Romagna 2-1-3 in Winchester’s 8-1 win over Haverhill – and Jake Mabardy scored four goals and assisted on another, Welch scored twice, CJ Wallace had 1-1-2 and Surabian another goal in a 9-1 victory over Melrose; Henri Stocker scored both goals in front of Corbett in a 2-0 win over Methuen – and Mike Doherty connected 1:05 into a 4-0 win over Newton;


Matt Goulian pitched a shutout and Colin Walsh scored with 4:53 left in the second period as Melrose beat Methuen, 2-0; and Connor Dirks wore a natural hat and Nathan Landry scored twice in Stoneham’s 6-1 victory over Methuen.
