Bantam - Week Ending March 14
WHITE DIVISIONS

Winchester won twice, Lexington/Bedford had a win and two ties. Nolan Redler wore the hat and had two assists, Brendan Greene had a goal and an assist and Chris Holland two assists in Winchester’s 7-2 win over Melrose – and Danny Marx (1-2-3) had what proved to be the winner with 6:20 left, Redler wore the hat in the first period and had an assist and Greene posted 1-1-2 in a 6-5 decision over Burlington, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Tyler Desharnais and Sean Murphy and two assists from Derek Batsos; Chaz Smith pitched a shutout, Dylan Meadows scored twice and Sam Eddy had two assists as Lexington/Bedford beat Chelmsford, 4-0; Ryan Doyle scored the tying goal with 2:07 left and Meadows had 1-1-2 as L/B pulled out a 2-2 tie with Chelmsford, which got goals 1:11 apart late from Ryan Ames and Jack Olson – and Mark DeSantis scored with 49 seconds left in the second period to give Woburn a 1-1 tie with Lexington/Bedford, which went ahead on Eddy’s goal;

 

Russo and Deveaux shared the shutout and Longmoore had 1-1-2 in Waltham’s 3-0 win over Beverly; Mark Brazell snapped a 1-1 tie with 5:39 left, Corey Wojewodzic then scored his second goal of the game 1:08 later and Brandon Devin had two assists in Lynn’s 3-1 win over Newburyport; Sean McGovern delivered 2-1-3, Ryan Bailer 1-2-3,  Nick Lemiuex three assists and Blake Alexander the shutout as the Renegades topped Portland, 6-0; O’Leary pitched a shutout and Toohey scored early in the second period as NH East edged Stoneham, 1-0; Biancuzzo’s second goal of the game, with 22 seconds left, was the winner and Gordon posted 1-1-2 as Newton edged the Renegades, 4-3 – Eric Stuckey with two goals and Lemieux 1-1-2 in the loss; Colin DeMagistris wore the hat, Cam McGuire delivered 2-1-3, John Morreale 1-1-2 and Josh Crowell two assists as Melrose beat Burlington, 7-1; Blake Bentley snapped a 1-1 tie in the second period and Max Emond had two assists as Acton-Boxboro defeated Burlington, 3-1; Dustin scored four goals and assisted on another, Couto had 1-1-2 and Littlefield two assists as Danvers beat Arlington, 7-2; and Ben Allen wore the hat and had an assist, Brendan Regan posted 2-1-3 and Andrew Cann two assists in Stoneham’s 7-1 handling of Arlington.


BLUE DIVISIONS

Wilmington and Haverhill/Pentucket both won twice. Ciampa scored twice and Rossetti had two assists in Wilmington’s 3-1 win over Burlington – and McGowan posted 2-1-3, Carter had three assists, Rossetti scored twice and Curtis had two assists in a 6-2 win over Waltham; Pat Kennedy wore the hat and had an assist and Dan Morin and Connor Stevens posted 1-1-2 in Haverhill/Pentucket’s 6-2 win over Winthrop, which got 1-1-2 from Dan Eruzione – and Morin’s second goal of the game, with 2:38 left, have H/P a 3-2 win over North Reading, which got both goals from Maidment;


Corbelle snapped a 1-1 tie with 6:33 left and Triton beat Salem, 3-1; Chris Lattini had 1-2-3, Stephen Lavasseur capped a three-goal rally with the tying goal with 1:28 left and Chris Sullivan had 1-1-2 as Melrose pulled out a 3-3 tie with Burlington, which got 1-1-2 from Billy Poirier; Corbelle snapped a 1-1 tie with 6:33 left and Triton nipped Salem, 3-1; Carmody had what proved to be the winner and Peterson posted 1-1-2 as Lynn edged Cape Ann, 3-2; Anthony Portelle scored with 2:56 left to give Saugus a 2-2 tie with Stoneham. Giovanni Vecchio scored with one-tenth of a second left for the tie and Eric Fox had two goals as Waltham edged Melrose, 3-2; Nick Cervizzi set up three goals and Kevin Coneeny and Jacob Oliveira both had 1-1-2 as Tewskbury scored a 5-2 win over Reading – Harry Kurker with 1-1-2 in the loss; Payne Bourgeois (2-1-3) scored with 5:49 left to give Greater Lowell a 3-2 decision over Salem, which got both goals from Mike Bellmore; No. 8 snapped a 2-2 tie with 10:59 left and Nick Brozowski scored twice as Concord-Carlisle clipped Nashoba, 4-2; Chris Brown scored both goals in Concord’s 2-1 win over Acton-Boxboro; and Cam Soucy had what proved to be the winner in the second period of Salem’s 3-1 victory over Wakefield.


RED DIVISIONS

Greater Lowell won twice, Danvers had a win and a tie and Woburn two ties. Ricky Beckwith posted 2-1-3, Cam Thistle had 1-2-3, Andrew Sylvester also scored twice and Jesse Cassie also has two assists in Greater Lowell’s 5-2 win over Haverhill/Pentucket, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Reid Garrant and Logan Sherwood – and Sylvester scored twice, Kevin Montbleau and Ruyan Dunn both had 1-1-2 and Kam Conway added two assists in a 6-2 victory over Peabody; Trevor Daly’s 1-1-2 helped Danvers past S&S, 5-1 – and Zach Armand scored the tying goal with 3:18 left and Ryan Buchanan scored twice as Danvers pulled out a 4-4 tie with Watertown, which got 2-1-3 from Joey Kelland; Jeremy Flibotte was in goal for Woburn and Andrew Spaulding for Lexington/Bedford in a 0-0 tie – and Arushi Ray and Matt Diorio scored 52 seconds apart in the second period to give Wilmington a 2-2 tie with Woburn;


Will Rennie (2-1-3) tied the game with 1:26 left and Stephen Faia then won it with :08 on the clock as Malden/East Boston pulled out a 5-4 decision over Watertown, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Kelland and Matt Donnell and two assists from Jeff Comeau; Newton edged Waltham, 1-0; Zizzo wore the hat, Corio had 1-2-3, Nazzaro scored twice, Merrill and Allen both posted 1-1-2 and Callautti had two assists in Medford’s 8-2 handling of Peabody, which got 1-1-2 from Marshall; Owen Parisi and Chris Ciampa shared the shutout , Casey Noyes scored twice and Matt Lane had two assists in Cape Ann’s 3-0 win over Newburyport; Ryan Mahoney scored the tying goal with 1:02 left, Sam Berard scored twice and Andrew Cunningham had two assists as Arlington pulled out a 3-3 tie with Beverly, which got 1-1-2 from Jake Springer; John Bartlett (1-1-2) had the winner with 8:43 left and Nick DeChirico posted two assists in Methuen’s 3-2 decision over Andover, which got both goals from Will Sauerbrunn; and Nigro’s second goal of the game, with 11:21 left, gave North Andover a 3-3 tie with Haverhill/Pentucket, which got 2-1-3 from Garrant.


SILVER DIVISIONS

Wakefield won three times, Masco had two wins and a tie and Marblehead and PAT both had a win and a tie. Connor Shine scored with 2:42 left to give Wakefield a 2-1 decision over Burlington; Matt White pitched a shutout and James McAuliffe scored with 6:40 left in a 2-0 victory over Lexington/Bedford – and Derek Bye (1-1-2) had what proved to be the winner with three minutes left in a 3-2 win over Lexington/Bedford; Anderson pitched a shutout, Pellerin scored twice and Tom Kashin had 1-1-2 in Masco’s 4-0 win over Maples; Jason Bagley collected 1-1-2 in a 5-1 win over Groton  – and Tyler McLaren scored the tying goal with 3:02 left and Mike Meehan assisted on both PAT goals in a 2-2 tie with Masco; Serowick had 1-2-3, Sawyer Billings scored twice and Depew had 1-1-2 as Marblehead edged Newburyport, 4-3, despite 2-1-3 by Chris Cyr and 1-1-2 by Bryce Cahill -- Billings (1-1-2) scored with 2:45 left to give Marblehead a 2-2 tie with Nashoba; Nick Scaltreto and Dan McNamara scored 2:50 apart in the second period and PAT edged Chelmsford, 2-1;


Blades Shields went for 2-2-4 and Ben Clifford had 1-2-3 as Maples beat Andover, 4-2; Bryan Bujnowski scored with 48 seconds left to give Salem a 2-1 decision over Tewksbury; Onanian and Bernard scored 1:05 apart midway through the third period to give North Reading a 3-3 tie with Andover, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Jack Harrington and Sam Mack; and Ryan Nelson put Salem ahead 19 seconds into the third period but Cam Moniz answered 31 seconds later to give Woburn a 2-2 tie.


GOLD

Lynn won twice. Joe Silva (2-1-3) scored with 4:41 left to give his team a 4-3 decision over Nashua, which got 1-1-2 from Jacob Connell – and Silva scored with 1:16 remaining to give Lynn an 2-1 win over Danvers;


Avery Woodbury posted 2-1-3 and Jonathan Mills and Mike Baker both had 1-1-2 in Wilmington’s 6-4 victory over Arlington, which got two goals from Brian Tocci; Pat Maguire and Liam Connors both scored twice as Hollis defeated Haverhill/Pentucket, 4-2; Brian Daly scored twice and Stephen Ferrante pitched a shutout as Danvers beat Cape Ann, 5-0; and Alex Lake and Alec O’Connor shared the shutout, Jacob Connell scored twice and James Whealan had 1-1-2 in Nashua’s 3-0 win over Newton.
