tie. Matt Asselin scored twice in Greater Lowell’s 4-2 win over Nashoba –
and
Matt Asselin wore the hat, Ben Asselin had three assists and Kyle
McManus scored
twice in a 6-2 victory over Winchester; Kyle Davies pitched a shutout and Mazzei
scored late in the second period in Arlington’s 3-0 win over North Andover – and Masci’s second goal of the game,
with 7:36 left, turned out to be the winner, DiCarlo had 1-1-2 and Jones
two
assists in a 4-3 decision over Lynnfield; Brendan Fay had 2-1-3, and No.
8 also
scored twice as Reading scored five goals in the second period and edged
Wilmington,
7-6, despite two goals apiece by Chris Robarge, Timmy Kippenberger
and Jared Venezia and two assists from NolanRicci – and Mark Bentley’s second
goal of the game, with 3:42 left, was the tying goal and Joe Moffitt had
1-1-2
as Andover pulled out a 5-5 tie with Reading, which got a hat trick and
an
assist from Eric Ash;
Thor Griffith wore the hat in Wakefield’s 4-2 win over
Waltham; Brendan Flynn scored what proved to be the winner with 5:25 left and
Dan Lehman had 1-1-2 as Lexington/Bedford edged Newburyport, 4-3, despite 2-1-3
by Scott Webster; and JeremyLaliberty posted 2-1-3 in Newburyport’s 4-2 win
over Winchester.
BLUE DIVISIONS
Lexington/Bedford posted a win or a tie. Wesley Gierkink
scored with 3:58 left and JohnDale followed with a minute on the clock to give
L/B a 4-3 victory over Melrose, which got 1-1-2 from William Jennings – and
Anthony Curcuru’s second goal of the game, with 3:28 left, gave Cape Ann a 3-3
tie with Lexington/Bedford, Nevin Bertolino with two assists for Cape Ann;
Luke Evangelista and Cory Cherico both posted 2-1-3 in
Winthop’s 5-2 victory over Tewksbury; Ben Raymond scored four goals, Max Gesner
also wore the hat and PhilTresca had 2-1-3 in Newton’s big win over Agawam;
Cody Porcello erupted for six goals, five in the first period, four in a 2:50 span
early in the game, Dillon Maguire had five assists, Charlie Haggerty also wore
the hat and Sean Senier had three assists as Melrose beat Lynn, 9-1; Kirby
Glynn scored four goals and assisted on another, Jared McKenna also wore the
hat and Trevor Currier, Matt Major and Anthony Cafarelli all had 1-1-2 in
Masco’s 11-3 handling of Amesbury, which got 1-1-2 from Jack Vachon; Jack
Shannon came through with 2-2-4, Ryan Shea had 2-1-3 and Jackson Gross also
scored twice in Andover’s 7-3 victory over Nashoba; and Jack St. Pierre wore
the hat and Joe Strabley had 1-1-2 in Portland’s 4-2 win over Marblehead.
RED DIVISIONS
Nashua won twice. Julian Yang scored with 6:24 left to
produce a 2-1 decision over Medford – and Sean Sampson scored midway through
the second period of a 2-1 win over Wilmington;
Billy McCann scored his second goal of the game with 1:16
left to give North Reading a 3-3 tie with Arlington; Cullen Millrick scored two
goals in a 1:53 span of the second period and Waltham edged Triton, 4-3 – Khoda
wearing the hat and Belt with two assists in the loss; Joe Wood wore the hat
and had two assists, Jake Caruso scored twice, Josh Pafford had 1-1-2 and Dana
Smullen pitched a shutout in Peabody’s big win over the Wizards; ColeDiSilvio
posted 2-2-4, Jeff Floramo had three assists, Clayton Marengi added two assists
and Matt Nekoroski pitched a shutout in Lynnfield’s 6-0 win over Medford; NeilBrennan scored the tying goal with 2:42 left and Zack Lever had 1-1-2 as
Newburyport pulled out a 4-4 tie with Wilmington, which got two goals from
Dylan Wargo; and AnthonyCrompton and Ryan Mackey (two goals) scored 27 seconds
apart early in the third period and Noah Jankowski also scored twice as Methuen
edged Peabody, 7-6 – Caruso with a hat trick and an assist and Ryan Bradley two
goals in the loss.
SILVER DIVISIONS
Caleb Amidon had a goal and an assist in Groton’s 2-0 win
over Reading (coaches, a goalie???); No. 10 scored with 1:26 left to give
Burlington a 4-3 victory over Wakefield, which got two assists from Matt
Sateri; Adam Heinze (1-1-2) scored the winner with 7:40 left and Mike Hart
scored twice as North Andover edged S&S,. 3-2; Sullivan and Richards both
wore hats in Woburn’s 7-2 win over Masco, which got both goals from MattElliott; Luke Gilgun had what proved to be the winner with 4:32 left, Angelo
Mario posted 2-1-3 and Mike Bongiorno added 1-1-2 in Winchester’s 6-5 decision
over Haverhill/Pentucket, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Luke Tucker and Eliana Kane;
JoeyShields scored the tying goal with 36 seconds left and Maggie O’Donnell
assisted on both Melrose goals in a 2-2 tie with Nashoba; William O’Brien
scored twice and Stoneham stopped Tewksbury, 3-1; and Matt Devaney and Shane
Lachance scored in the third period and Sam Murray had 1-1-2 as Andover nipped
Woburn, 4-3 – Maloney with two goals in the loss.
GOLD DIVISIONS
Chelmsford won twice again. Zach Thomas scored what proved
to be the winner with 1:12 left in the second period of a 4-3 decision over
Waltham – and Ryan Heise scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Greater Lowell;
Seamus Webster scored what proved to be the winner with 6:49
left as Newburyport edged Lynn, 3-2 – Nick Cosmos with 1-1-2 in the loss;
Calvin May scored twice and NickCiaccio had two assists in Winchester’s 4-1
win over Andover; Andrew Casciani wore the hat and had two assists and
Madeleine Rinklin posted 1-1-2 in Reading’s 8-1 handling of Beverly; Leif Riley
snapped a 2-2 tie with 7:36 left as Amesbury nipped Saugus, 4-2 – ZoeSolomons
with both goals in the loss; and Lawn scored the tying goal with nine seconds
left and Delucia assisted on both goals as Watertown pulled out a 2-2 tie with
the Reading Girls.
GRAY DIVISIONS
Marblehead won twice. Anthony Fresolone wore the hat and had
an assist and AbbyKalinowski had 1-1-2 in a 4-3 decision over Reading, which
got 2-1-3 from Lydon – and Fresolone delivered 1-1-2 in a 3-0 win over
Marblehead (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???);
Max Trawick had 1-1-2 and Chris Rooney lost a shutout when
Brennan Fisher scored with 1:39 left in Groton’s 3-1 win over
Lexington/Bedford; Nick Miller wore the hat, scoring two goals in 48 seconds
early in the third period, and Colin Massidda, Kyle Krawczyk and John Lessard
all had 1-1-2 in PAT’s 6-4 win over Woburn, which got 1-1-2 apiece from
Kovinsky and Ritchie; Callie Wiley scored with 2:07 left and then assisted on
KathleenAdams’ winner 12 seconds later as the Andover Girls beat Reading, 4-2
– Vedder with both goals in the loss; and Nathan Arsenault delivered 1-1-2 and
Ryan Scanlon two assists in Nashua’s 3-1 win over Wakefield.
BLACK
Burlington won twice. Dan Downie had what proved to be the
winner with 1:41 left, JoeBarbieri posted 2-2-4 and Kara Cecchini also scored
twice as Burlington edged North Andover, 7-6,
Jim Boyle with four goals and Rachel Neyman two in the loss – and
Barbieri and Kyle Inglis both wore hats and Cecchini scored twice in a 10-6 win
over North Reading, which got 2-1-3 from No. 12 and two goals from Jake
VerColen;
Boyle scored four goals in North Andover’s 9-2 handling of
Newton; Dan Capello scored four goals and assisted on another, Alex Erickson
and Emma Beers both posted 2-1-3 and Nolan Ratte 1-1-2 in Nashoba’s 11-3 win
over Masco, which got 1-2-3 from LoganCampbell and 1-1-2 from Chris O’Grady;
Brandon Farrin wore the hat, Brian Taylor delivered 2-1-3 and Gavin Nareski
also scored twice as Danvers defeated Andover VI, 7-0; Joe Tardif scored two
goals and assisted on three others, Alex Hallion wore the hat and Bretton
Manley had 1-1-2 in Newton’s 8-2 win over Methuen; and Aiden Lareau scored the
tying goal with 46 seconds left, Anthony Previte scored twice and Conor Keefe
had two assists as Andover V pulled out a 5-5 tie with Winthrop, which got two
goals from Aidan Powers, 1-1-2 apiece from Ken Streeter and Evan Smotrich and
two assists from Stephen Hinchion.
