Peewee - Week Ending January 17
WHITE DIVISIONS
Tom Houston wore the hat and had an assist, Cooper Gould had two goals and an assist and Mic Curran had a goal and two assists in Arlington’s 7-2 win over Stoneham, which had 1-1-2 from Pat Harrington; Andrew McCarthy and Jack McGowan scored 1:09 apart late in the second period as Winchester beat Woburn, 3-1; Robbie Ryan and Tommy Hanafin scored 2:13 apart early in the third period to give Burlington a 2-2 tie with Lexington/Bedford, which got both goals from Brendan Flynn and assists on both from Maxime Giesen and Dan Lehman; Josh Caruso pitched a shutout, Jay Gallagher scored twice and Joe DiBacco and Dante DeMarco both had two assists in Reading’s 3-0 win over Chelmsford; Brett Bisson had what proved to be the winner with 43 seconds left in the second period and Masco beat NH East, 4-2; Twombly pitched a shutout and S. Melisi scored early in the second period and Chelmsford edged Andover, 1-0; Alex Anzioni and Pat Todisco both posted 1-1-2 in Winthrop a 5-0 win over Newburyport; Adriana Rossini and Jenna Weyant both had 1-1-2, Charlotte Abrecht and Jacqueline Diffley both had two assists and Clara Pingeon lost a shutout when Danny Gieniezco scored with 1:11 left as the Wizards beat Marblehead, 5-1; and O’Connell scored with four minutes left to give Waltham a 2-1 decision over Andover.


BLUE DIVISIONS
Salem won three games. Nick Donnelly and Dom Bruzzese both scored twice and Ryan Montbleau and Connor McCurley each had two assists in a 5-1 victory over Andover; Chad Desautels and Brad Brock both had 1-1-2 and Tommy Gillespie and Andrew Gosson shared the shutout in a 4-0 win over Wilmington – and Donnelly scored twice, Desautels had 1-1-2 and Danny Donovan two assists in a 5-1 win over Wakefield;


Jon Langlois and Gary Dwyer scored 47 seconds apart in the third period, the winner coming with 4:51 left, and Mike Gleason lost a shutout when Sam Ford scored with 2:50 left as Haverhill/Pentucket edged Watertown, 2-1; Chad Maraschalchi had 2-1-3, Hunter Spencer 1-1-2 and Dom Guardino two assists in Beverly’s 4-1 win over Tewksbury; Darren Costa (1-1-2) and Brett Pitre scored 2:06 apart in the third period as Hollis beat Groton. 3-1; Freddy Robitaille pitched a shutout and Owen Brewster scored in the second period of Peabody’s 1-0 win over Melrose; and Seth Murray scored with 5:29 left to give Cape Ann a 1-1 tie with North Reading, which had gone ahead on Mike Reardon’s goal with 9:17 left.


RED DIVISIONS
Medford won twice. Luciano Fiore pitched a shutout and Brendan Sheehy scored late in the first period of a 2-0 win over Andover – and Bernard McGovern posted 2-1-3 in a 4-2 win over Reading, which got two assists from Kyle Ash;


Marty Joyce wore the hat, scoring all three goals, and Tommy Ferullo pitched a shutout in a 3-0 win over Waltham; Jacob Strahlman (1-1-2) scored the winner with 6:34 left and Donnie Ganim also had 1-1-2 in Agawam’s 2-1 decision over Greater Lowell; Samantha Donohoe and Greg Howell both had 1-1-2 in PAT’s 3-1 victory over Arlington; Jack Mays and Joe Tansino scored 2:37 apart early in the second period as Melrose edged Triton, 2-1; Tarlow scored the winner with 3:14 left and Butterton had two assists as Triton edged Melrose, 3-2 – Jacob Kleis with both goals in the loss; Gino Daloia had what proved to be the winner in the second period of North Andover’s 3-1 win over S&S; Robert LaVine scored with 4:46 left to give Hollis a 1-1 tie with Concord-Carlisle, which got a second-period goal from A. Faber; Kevin Ames and Chris Lewis scored 54 seconds apart early in the second period of Chelmsford’s 3-1 win over Methuen; Geoffrey Warren got the only goal of the game past Beliveau with 2:02 left and Chris Alarie and Max Penton shared the shutout in Waltham’s 1-0 win over Triton; Langone pitched a shutout and Sullivan posted 1-1-2 in Lynnfield’s 2-0 win over Winthrop; and Andrew Wales scored with 1:33 left in the second period to give Newton a 2-1 win over Concord.


SILVER DIVISIONS
Winchester won twice and Lexington/Bedford posted a win and a tie. Teddy Locke delivered 2-1-3, Owen Kramer and Tom Albert both had 1-2-3, Sean Hegarty and Will Sergenian both had 1-1-2 and Cam Offner pitched a shutout in Winchester’s 6-0 victory over Chelmsford – and Locke (2-1-3), Ryan Errico and Sergenian scored in a 48-second span, the last two coming seven seconds apart to cap a four-goal rally over 3:32, and Cam Shaw had 1-2-3 in a 5-3 victory over Woburn, which got 1-1-2 from Nick Caldwell; Nick Parenti scored the winner with 36 seconds left and Aidan Byrne had 1-1-2 as Lexington/Bedford edged Masco, 3-2 – and Steve Langenfeld scored with 26 seconds left to give Wilmington a 2-2 tie with Lexington/Bedford.


Danny Perry scored four goals, including a natural hat trick over a 3:52 span, Collin Johanson posted 2-1-3 and Nate Forbes and Chris Hunter both had two assists in Groton’s 8-1 handling of Everett; Michaela Kane pitched a shutout, Cam Wolbach had 1-1-2 and Brian Mackie had two assists in Haverhill/Pentucket’s 3-0 win over Marblehead; Morgan McGirl pitched a shutout and Peter Pantelis and Olivia Mombello scored 1:43 apart in the first period of Newburyport’s 5-0 win over Cape Ann; Liam Gleason scored twice and Derek Briand had 1-1-2 in Chelmsford’s 3-1 win over Salem; Andrew Perrin posted 1-1-2 and Mike Hart had two assists in Newton’s 6-1 win over Malden; Cahill had 2-2-4, Gill 2-1-3, McCarthy 1-1-2 and Daly two assists and Danvers scored a 6-2 win over Everett, which got 1-1-2 from JT Fritz; Dan Blase scored with two minutes left to give Birlington a 3-3 tie with Reading; and Dan Ferrar scored the winner with 1:32 left and Joey Tardif had 1-1-2 as Watertown edged Lynn, 3-2 – Mike Johnson with 1-1-2 in the loss.


GOLD DIVISIONS
Morgan Bishop had what proved to be the winner with 2:03 left in the second period and Tim Jordan lost a shutout when JohnJohn Michael Keating’s second goal of the game, with 1:01 left in the second period, was the tying tally and Billy Crowley had two assists as Medford earned a 3-3 tie with Salem; O’Leary scored with 50 seconds left in Woburn’s 2-1 win over Triton; Frost scored four goals and McLean had 1-1-2 as the Wizards defeated Beverly, 6-2; Robbie Blodgett had 2-2-4, John Casey 2-1-3 and Mike Lirakis two goals in Tewksbury’s 7-3 victory over Methuen, which got two assists from Lexi Stanisewski; James Hanley had 2-1-3, John Hanley posted 1-1-2 and Malden built a 6-1 lead and went on to beat Andover, 6-4 – David Zinland-Pukhovitsky and Wonhee Han with 1-1-2 apiece and Sean Sheehy two assists in the loss; Henry Miller delivered 2-3-5, Matt Mercurio wore the hat, Zachary Kane had 2-1-34, Austin Collard set up three goals and Dan Junta added 1-1-2 in Wakefield’s big win over Medford; Maddy Werner set up two goals in Agawam’s 3-0 win over Arlington (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); Ray Dufour scored with 5:30 left to give Stoneham a 3-2 win over the Wizards; Brad Lumb pitches a shutout andf Mike Finocchiaro scored in the first period of North Reading’s 3-0 win over Newburyport; Lily Dow and Cam Braceras scored 57 seconds apart in the second period and Triton beat Melrose, 4-1; and Tim Kalinowski delivered 1-2-3 and AJ Ernst scored twice in Marblehead’s 6-1 win over Newton.


GRAY DIVISIONS
Nashua won twice. Ben Strauss wore the hat and had four assists, Darwin Carozza also wore the hat, Collin Fisher had 1-1-2 and No. 7 added two assists in a 9-4 win over Lexington/Bedford, which got two assists from Ethan Winter – and Trevor Roche delivered 1-1-2 and Ryan Weinberg had two assists in a 3-1 decision over Cape Ann;


Dave Giuffre (1-1-2) scored with 1:31 left to cap a two-goal rally and give Winthrop a 3-2 decision over Groton; Tyler Collins scored twice and Jake Zelikman had 1-1-2 in North Reading’s 4-2 win over Nashua; Sam Tellier wore the hat, Ross Whitney and Francesca Winship both collected 2-1-3, Ben Fischi had three assists and Robbie Darmody 1-1-2 in Groton’s big win over Newburyport, which got all three goals from No. 6; Ethan Fultz posted 1-1-2 and Riley Gilpatrick posted two assists in Nashoba’s 5-3 win over North Andover, which got 2-1-3 from Seamus Lambert and 1-1-2 from Ben Ryan; Cassidy Smith pitched a shutout and Jillian Rigby scored late in the first period of Burlington’s 1-0 win over Haverhill/Pentucket; and Nick Nadeau wore the hat and had an assist, Kevin O’Shea posted 2-2-4, Evan Doherty collected 2-1-3, Nick Rajartnam and Chris Saunders both had 1-2-3, James Bezreh had three assists, Ben Westerman scored twice and Alex DiPietro and Cooper Lyons both added two assists and Devon Bruzzese pitched a shutout in Reading’s big win over Newton.
