Winchester Scores Big Win Over Billerica
IMG_2268.JPGThe Winchester Squirt 3 team skated to an exciting victory over Billerica in an all-important Massachusetts playdown game.

The team from Billerica led the entire game. Winchester knotted the game at 2-2 with just three minutes remaining in regulation. Billerica went on top once again, but the lead was shortlived as Winchester’s David Paine scored with just 45 seconds to go.

The game went into overtime where it was Paine who came through once again with the game winner to secure the 4-3 win over Billerica. John Laghetto was the other offensive juggernaut as he netted Winchester’s first two goals.

If the team is successful, they will earn a spot at the State Tournament, which will be held in West Springfield in March.

Congratulations to the entire Winchester team on a job well done!
