Peewee - Week Ending Feb 24
WHITE DIVISIONS

Cam Farnham scored four goals and assisted on two others and Danny Keenan had a goal and an assist in Andover’s 7-4 win over Reading, which got two goals from Andrew McKie and two assists from David Spry; Eddie Ellis scored all four goals in Burlington’s 4-2 win over Methuen; Tyler Gillespie scored twice in Peabody’s 7-2 win over Dover, which got both goals from Tom Boulanger; Jimmy Currier delivered 2-1-3 and Tyler Duval 1-1-2 in Masco’s 5-3 victory over North Reading; and Anthony Lespasio had 2-2-4, Carolyn Avery dished out four assists, Jackie Denning had 2-1-3 and Sam Eddy 1-2-3 in Lexington/Bedford’s 8-3 win over Danvers, which got 1-2-3 from Joe Strangie and two goals from Robbie Buchanan.

BLUE DIVISIONS

Taylor Browne scored two goals in 52 seconds late and Brandon Merchant also scored twice as the Maine Breakers beat the Maine Renegades, 4-2; Brien Foden scored with 7:30 left to give Salem a 2-1 decision over Triton; Greco scored with 6:08 left to give Saugus a 3-2 win over Reading; Connor Irving scored twice, Jake Straw and Graham Doherty both had 1-1-2 and Jack Morency had two assists in Beverly’s 5-2 victory over Everett/Revere; Alex Webb and Jake O’Malley both scored twice, Cam DeCoste had 1-1-2 and Jerry Ciaramitaro lost a shutout bid with 4:10 left in Cape Ann’s 6-1 win over Triton; Corey Finch posted 2-2-4, Aaron DeAngelo 1-3-4 and Chris Cormier 1-2-3 in Marblehead’s 4-1 victory over Newburyport; and Phil Biancuzzo had two goals and three assists, Oliver Jackson 1-4-5, Alex Joyce the hat trick and No. 14 2-1-3 in Newton’s 9-1 handling of Marblehead.

RED DIVISIONS

Steve Czarnota scored twice and Pat Stewart had a goal and an assist in Wakefield’s 4-2 win over the Blizzard, who got 1-1-2 from Max Campbell; Ross Webber scored twice and Greater Lowell stopped Wilmington, 3-1; Steve Goddard wore the hat, Ray Feeley pitched a shutout and Dan Eruzione had 1-1-2 in Winthrop’s 4-0 win over North Andover; Amanda Palumbo had 12-3, Caitlyn Ryan set up three goals and Cara Najjar scored twice as the Wizards beat Wilmington, 6-0; Eric Short scored four goals and Sean Allen had two assists in Medford’s 6-0 win over Malden; Brad Durling scored twice in Andover’s 4-1 victory over Concord; Tom Maguire’s second of the game, with :21 left, gave Haverhill a 3-3 tie with the Cyclones; and Latham scored twice and Finlay had 1-1-2 as S&S beat Greater Lowell, 4-1.

SILVER DIVISIONS

Pentucket won twice. Connor Stevens scored twice and Mike Kutcher had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over Cape Ann – and Stevens scored what proved to be the winner with 6:35 left in a 2-1 decision over Tewksbury;

Colin Lysik’s second of the game, with 5:35 left, came 1:40 after Pat Gleason scored to tie in as Amesbury pulled out a 5-4 win over Cape Ann – Lucas Townsend with two goals in the win and Sean Brennan with 2-1-3 for Cape Ann; Antonio DeGirolamo scored twice, Tim Kilban and Doug Sorabella both had 1-1-2 and Brian Appleyard pitched a shutout in Reading’s 6-0 victory over Wilmington; Cassidy scored with :10 left to give Danvers a 3-3 tie with Andover, which got 2-1-3 from Mike Acheson; Zarro’s goals early in the second turned out to be the winner and Ciampa lost a shutout bid with 1:15 left in Peabody’s 2-1 decision over Lexington/Bedford; No. 5 (1-1-2) had the winner with 2:50 left and James Garbier had 1-1-2 as Watertown nipped Arlington, 4-3 – Parsons and Cunningham with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; Sara Lehman scored with 1:08 left to give L/B a 2-1 win over Danvers; Jeff Giasullo snapped a 1-1 tie midway through the second period and Tewksbury edged Amesbury, 2-1; Lyndon Ambrefe and Connor Pellerin both wore hats, Ambrefe had an assist and Vitaly Knowles posted 1-3-4 in Masco’s 8-2 win over Wilmington; and Whooley collected 2-2-4 and S. Toussaint assisted on three goals in Stoneham’s 6-0 triumph over Methuen.

GOLD DIVISIONS

Stoneham picked up a pair of victories. Ryan wore the hat, Sullivan had a goal and two assists, Soares scored twice and McPherson set up a pair in a 9-4 win over S&S, which got 2-1-3 from Cresta and two goals from Maurais – and Francis delivered 2-1-3, Ryan two goals and Tufts 1-1-2 in a 6-2 triumph over Triton;

Tyler Therrien scored with 2:30 left to give Newburyport a 2-1 victory over the Wizards; Joe Caira scored five goals and Josh Berenson and Jack Lammert both assisted on a pair in Lexington/Bedford’s 8-1 handling of Winchester; Melinda Vercollone scored the winner with 10:26 left and Hannah Rosenberger had two assists as the Wizards edged Stoneham, 2-1; Dallas snapped a 2-2 tie with 4:24 left and Sera had 1-1-2 in Newton’s 4-2 win over Agawam; Joey Kozlowski posted 2-1-3 and Josh Beyer 1-2-3 in Beverly’s 5-2 victory over Greater Lowell; Seward broke a 3-3 tie with 10:19 remaining, Graham had 1-2-3, Renzulli scored twice and Levesque had two assists in Triton’s 5-3 win over North Reading, which got 1-2-3 from Manganiello and two goals from Sutera; Chris Cyr and Bryce Cahill both posted 1-1-2 in Newburyport’s 4-1 win over S&S; and Phil Giliver collected 2-1-3 and Alex Fusegni 1-2-3 in Marblehead’s 7-2 triumph over Agawam.

GREEN DIVISIONS

Saugus and Reading both won twice and Cape Ann, Danvers and Lynnfield all had a win and a tie. Jack Doherty scored twice as Saugus beat Arlington, 3-1 – and Kyle Zabroski scored four goals and assisted on another, Victor DeMatteo had 1-2-3, Jonathan McTague two assists and David Aiken the shutout in a 6-0 win over Wilmington; Zach Face wore the hat, Sal Clemente scored twice, Ryan O’Regan had 1-1-2 and John Hand two assists in Reading’s 6-3 win over Medford – and Ryan McCormick set up two goals in a 4-1 win over North Andover; Bennett Curcuru posted 2-1-3 in Cape Ann’s 4-2 win over Burlington – and Zach Randazzo had the tying goal with 1:53 left and Cucuru posted 1-1-2 as Cape Ann pulled out a 3-3 tie with Danvers, which got two assists from Sean Lundergan; Zach Armand wore the hat, Jonathan Tucker scored twice and Lundergan pitched a shutout as Danvers beat Haverhill, 7-0; Anthony Costa wore the hat and had an assist, Tyler Gregory added 1-1-2 and Braden Zanni two assists in Lynnfield’s 4-1 win over Lynn – and McCloskey scored the tying goal with 5:51 left, Gendreau scored twice and Feola had two assists as Medford pulled out a 4-4 tie with Lynnfield, which got 2-1-3 from Costa;

Tyler Paquette had 2-1-3, Dan Foynes 1-2-3, Max Beverley set up three goals and Nick Andrews scored two in Haverhill’s 9-3 win over Burlington, which got two goals from Matt Peterson; Jacob Lloyd capped a hat trick with 5:13 left to give Winthrop a 3-3 tie with Wakefield, which got 1-1-2 from Chris Smith; Kyle Pert scored with 1:50 left and again at 1:20 to give Lynn a 3-2 decision over Amesbury; Drew Beaupre collected 1-2-3, Mike Duggan and Ben Cliufford both scored twice and Tyler Burdick and No. 8 both had two assists  in Amesbury’s 6-2 win over North Andover, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Ryan St. Pierre and Kyle Murphy; Wilson Lautner scored midway through the second and Marblehead edged Newburyport, 1-0 (coaches, a goalie for the shutout???); Smith scored with 6:42 left to give Wakefield a 3-3 tie with Wilmington, which got 1-1-2 from Giroux; and Brendan McCaffery delivered 1-2-3, Travis Vozella and RJ Hovasse both scored twice, Pete Ravanis had 1-1-2 and Jake Baumgartner two assists in Burlington’s 7-2 handling of Beverly, which got 1-1-2 from Bryce Pietrini.

GRAY DIVISIONS

Melrose won twice. Zak Aslane had two goals and an assist, Tyler Thompson posted 1-1-2 and Steve Ohanesian two assists as Melrose beat North Reading, 6-4 – and No. 9 scored twice in a 4-2 victory over Lexington/Bedford IV. Pentucket had a win and two ties and the Wizards, Lexington/Bedford IV and Tewksbury all had a win and a tie. Matt St. Clair had two goals and three assists, Jonathan Brock posted 2-2-4 and Cam McClung 1-1-2 in Pentucket’s 9-2 handling of Newton, which got both goals from Clayton Starr and two assists from No. 2 – and No. 30 scored with 1:53 left to give Lexington/Bedford a 3-3 tie with Pentucket, which got two assists from McClung; Rebecca Legro scored twice and the Wizards beat Masco, 3-0 (coaches, a goalie??) – and Bonnie Connell scored with 4:03 left to answer an early goal by Scott Atwood and give the Wizards a 1-1 tie with  Pentucket; Ryan Cobb scored twice and Jack Reid had 1-1-2 in L/B IV’s 5-1 win over North Reading; Darren Sullivan pitched a shutout in goal and Adam Lee scored early in Tewksbury’s 2-0 win over Lexington/Bedford V – and No. 15 scored with :51 left to give Andover a 2-2 tie with Tewksbury;

Zachary Bille scored two goals in a 1:22 and had an assist, Kyle Houghton scored twice, John Gordon posted 1-1-2 and Giovanni Jannino two assists in Peabody’s big win over Arlington; and Durran wore the hat and had an assist in Woburn’s 6-0 handling of North Reading.
