Nashua won twice. Jay Fornier, Zach Rotkiewicz and Keegan Ezzio all had a goal and an assist in a 7-1 victory over Burlington – and Fornier’s goal with 8:05 left in the second period turned out to be the winner, Nate Howe had a goal and an assist and Chris Fortin two assists as Nashua got by Danvers, 3-2;
Gray Marchese pitched a shutout and Jeremy Noone scored in the second period of Haverhill’s 1-0 win over Lexington/Bedford; Ben Wigant capped a hat trick (he also had an assists) with the tying goal with :14 left, Nate Burgess scored twice and Chris Finley had two assists as the Maine Gladiators pulled out a wild 6-6 tie with Winchester, which got two goals and three assists from Colin Edwards, 1-3-4 from Ryan Palmer and 1-1-2 from Brian Mullin; Bucky Surette scored twice and Jack McCarthy had 1-1-2 in Lynn’s 3-1 win over Woburn; Carpenter (1-1-2) snapped a 4-4 tie with 1:55 left, Holland posted 1-2-3 and Concannon scored twice as Woburn got by Reading, 6-4; and Mike Vecchione had 1-2-3, Tyler Stretton scored twice, Saige Tait had 1-1-2 and Adam Shea two assists as Saugus beat Wilmington, 6-1.
Mariah Mosher and Nick Kesaris shared the shutout and Dan Nadeau scored the only goal needed late in the first period as the Maine Gladiators beat Wakefield, 4-0; Liam Centrella (1-1-2) scored the tying goal with 8:57 left and Kyle Wakefield had two assists as Andover pulled out a 3-3 tie with Methuen, which went ahead on Willis’s second goal of the game, with 9:20 left and also got two assists apiece from Fischera and D. McAndrew; John Lavasseur had what proved to be the winner with 7:51 left, Devin Murphy assisted on three goals and Paul Hanson scored two as Melrose beat Wilmington, 4-2, despite two goals by No. 17; Despres wore the hat, Swift posted 1-2-3, Paradis and Cappuci had three assists apiece and Cordio scored twice in Nashua III’s 8-2 handling of Marblehead, which got 1-1-2 from No. 8; Rory O’Connor’s 1-1-2 helped Greater Lowell to a 4-2 win over Newton; and Nick Morin had what proved to be the winner with 6:07 left, Cal Lezama scored twice and Phil Sweeney had two assists in Nahua II’s 5-3 win over S&S.
Brian Delgreco had two goals and an assist, Ryan Gallant 1-2-3, Scott Plevinsky three assists and Chris Burler two goals in Lexington/Bedford’s 7-1 handling of Everett; Dylan Roy snapped a 1-1 tie with 10:52 left and Pat Eidle had 1-1-2 in Masco’s 3-1 victory over Henniker; Carl Orlandi pitched a shutout, Josh Guertin scored twice and Tom Pingree had two assists in Triton’s 3-0 win over the Maine Renegades; Tom Marmiani posted 2-1-3 and Mike Napolitano had 1-1-2 in Peabody’s 4-2 victory over Wilmington; and Bauchman (2-1-3) scored the tying goal with 3:13 left for the tie and Andrews had 1-1-2 as Methuen pulled out a 4-4 tie with Maples, which got three assists from Tucker Schell and 1-1-2 from Dave Grunbeck.
Cape Ann scored a pair of victories. Derick MacDowell had a natural hat trick and Robert Benham posted three assists in a 5-1 win over Reading – and MacDowell had 2-1-3, Conor Douglass also scored twice and Benham had two assists in a 6-3 victory over Pemtucket, which got two goals from Potter;
Mate Lamkin had the winner with 3:38 left, Scott Brauer collected 2-1-3 and Marc Vesprini 1-2-3 in Masco’s 5-4 decision over Arlington, which got two goals from Greg Magni and 1-1-2 from Paul Schertzer; Drew Muise delivered 2-2-4, Derek Silva and Mike Hart both had 2-1-3 and Zach Cerovac had two assists in Greater Lowell’s 7-4 triumph over Concord, which got a hat trick from Alan Bauman and two assists from Joe Graffy; Jake Hanley pitched a shutout and Harrison Corbett scored in the first period of Newburyport’s 1-0 decision over Stoneham; Steve Waites had two assists in Winthrop’s 2-1 win over Peabody; Ben Katzman scored twice, Brett LeBlanc had 1-1-2 and John Perry had two assists to back the shutout goaltending of Ben Lebowitz in Marblehead’s 4-0 win over Andover; Sean Costa and Brenden Slowe both posted 1-1-2 in Burlington’s 4-2 victory over Malden/East Boston, which got 1-1-2 from Nichols; and Concannon scored twice and Hammond had 1-1-2 in Woburn’s 6-3 win over Concord, which got two goals from Graffy.
Glenn Smith scored four goals, Taylor Carroll had a goal and an assist and Jerry Witkowski two assists as the Blizzard beat Melrose, 6-1; Pat Fitzgerald had the tying goal with 4:12 left and Brad Hunt assisted on a pair as Haverhill pulled out a 3-3 tie with Lexington/Bedford; Cam Neumann pitched a shutout and Cody Rubin scored twice as Maples beat Wilmington, 3-0; Spearman and Gregg both posted 1-1-2 and Little lost a shutout with 4:15 left in Methuen’s 2-1 victory over North Reading; Steve Robertson had 1-1-2 in Wakefield’s 4-1 triumph over York; Tommy Lingren gave his team a 2-0 lead with 3:03 left in the second period and Ryan Knight lost a shutout in the third period as Beverly edged Lynn, 2-1; and Doug Hubschman scored with 4:00 left and again at 1:34 to give Andover a 3-2 verdict over Burlington, which got 1-1-2 from Derek Forti.
