Peewee - Week Ending Feb 3
The Maine Gladiators pulled out a pair of ties. Kile Lemelin scored with 3:44 left in the first period, just 29 seconds after Kyle Hancox scored for Masco as the teams played a1-1 tie – and Ryan Bradley scored with 6:57 left and again at 2:43 as Methuen pulled out a 2-2 tie with Maine, which got 1-1-2 from Lemelin;
A.J. Johnson delivered two goals and an assist, Eddie Ellis also scored twice and Sean Murphy had 1-1-2 in Burlington’s 5-3 win over Masco; Tom Wood and am Eddy scored 2:47 apart in the third period to give Lexington/Bedford a 2-1 win over Arlington; Mercier’s 2-1-3 led Melrose past Peabody, 5-2; and Mark Dente scored four goals in Reading’s 6-3 victory over Melrose, which got two goals from Cam McGuire and two assists from Josh Crowell.
Spencer Norton pitched a shutout and Jack Curley scored with 8:11 left to give Triton a 1-0 decision over the Maine Renegades; David Flett had 2-2-4, Marco Verrengia had 1-2-3 and Robert DelVecchio scored twice in Everett’s 6-3 win over Cape Ann, which got 1-1-2 from Kyle Hurst; Colby Shepard delivered a natural hat trick and Chris Cormier scored twice in Marblehead’s 6-0 win over Reading; Alex Buckley pitched a shutout, Sam Francis had 1-1-2 and AJ Williams added two assists in Newburyport’s 2-0 victory over NH East; Graham Doherty wore the hat and had an assist, Matt Hamor scored twice and Nick Albano assisted on a pair in Beverly’s 7-1 handling of Salem; and Alex Grant-Roy and Taylor Browne scored 56 seconds apart in the first period and the Maine Breakers edged Salem, 2-1.
Will Rennie had two goals and an assist, Bobby Lavarna, Alex Farrell and Will Briand all had a goal and an assist and Jon Dalba two assists in Malden’s 6-1 victory over Burlington; Alec Lefave scored twice and Dylan Cody had two assists as the Cyclones beat Concord, 4-0; Tristan Steward capped a 2-1-3 effort with the goal that made it 4-0, Kyle Schiff had 1-1-2 and North Andover held off a late charge by Greater Lowell and won, 4-3 – Brent Sullivan with two goals and Ross Webber two assists as GL scored three times in 1:39 left in the rally; Tyler Turner scored the winner with 4:00 and Colin DeMagitris scored twice as the Blizzard beat Medford, 3-2; Steve Goddard delivered 2-2-4 and Dan Eruzione and Joe Skoczylas both had 1-1-2 in Winthrop’s 6-3 win over Wakefield, which got two goals from Steve Czarnota; Eleanor Knutzen posted 1-2-3, Jessica Thulin had 1-1-2 and Caitlyn Ryan two assists as the Wizards beat S&S, 4-1; and Cory Carmody (1-1-2) scored with 2:50 left to give Lynn a 3-3 tie with Andover, which got 1-1-2 from Connor McCullough.
Amesbury had a win and a tie. Colin Lysik scored twice and Adam Bibeau had two assists in a 4-2 win over Stoneham – and Corey Stillings had the tying goal with 6:26 left, Robert Fullerton had 2-1-3, Tom Thompson also scored twice and Joe Marino had 1-1-2 as Wilmington earned a 5-5 tie with Amesbury, which got 2-2-4 from Lucas Townsend and two assists from Bibeau;
Chris Pacito (2-1-3) had what proved to be the winner with 4:46 left as Reading edged Cape Ann, 5-4, despite 1-1-2 apiece by Eric Littlefield and Sean Brennan; Parson had 2-1-3, Monteith 1-1-2 and Houston two assists in Arlington’s 6-2 victory over Lexington/Bedford; Lyndon Ambrefe had the tying tally with 1:14 left and Chris Birch assisted on two goals as Masco pulled out a 4-4 tie with Andover, which got two goals from Doug Benson and 1-1-2 apiece from Jack Reilly and Alex Gray; Alex Ganter wore the hat and Michael Look had two assists in Lynnfield’s 5-2 win over Peabody; Pat Sears snapped a 1-1 tie with 1:52 left and Danvers nipped Pentucket, 3-1; and Joe Kelland had what proved to be winner and Anthony Forman scored twice as Watertown beat Tewksbury, 3-1.
Melinda Vercellone wore the hat and added an assist and Emily Lissner had two goals and an assist as the Wizards beat Stoneham, 6-3, despite 1-2-3 by Sullivan and two assists by Tufts; Casey Barlow and Chris Cyr both posted 1-2-3 and Bryce Cahill and Travis O’Brien each had 1-1-2 in Newburyport’s 6-2 win over North Reading; Zachary Lowen had the winner with 10:01 left and Pat Hallowell had 1-1-2 as Winchester edged Greater Lowell, 2-1; Brett Erelli had 1-1-2 and Brent Lozzi two assists in Lynn’s 4-2 win over Lexington/Bedford; Aponas had the winner with 1:30 left and Seward posted 1-1-2 in Triton’s 2-1 decision over S&S; and Dean Fader came through with 2-1-3 and Alex Fusegni had 1-2-3 in Marblehead’s 6-3 win over Beverly, which got 1-1-2 from Brian Williams.
Jacob Lloyd snapped a 2-2 tie with 7:08 left and Mike Stellati and Charlie Gosselin both had a goal and an assist in Winthrop’s 4-2 win over Wakefield; MacDonald’s goal with 2:18 left in the second period turned out to be the winner, Feola scored twice and Madden had two assists as Medford got by Reading, 5-4, despite 1-2-3 apiece by Sal Clemente and Ryan McCormick; Derek Upton clicked for 1-2-3, Zach Face and Clemente both posted 1-1-2 and Dan Derving pitched a shutout in Reading’s 7-0 win over Newton; George Papageorgio pitched a shutout and Brad Dill scored with 6:03 left to give Lynn a 1-0 decision over Lynnfield; Tyler Paquette wore the hat and had an assist and Kyle Therrien had two assists in Haverhill’s 4-2 win over Cape Ann; Mucci wore the hat and Arlington stopped Wilmington, 5-1; and Justin Serowick wore the hat and had an assist, Matt Jepsky collected 2-2-4, Joe Snow 1-3-4 and Wilson Lautner two assists in Marblehead’s 7-0 win over Burlington.
Lexington/Bedford V had a win and a tie. Rhett Adley scored twice and Brennan Lagrassa had two assists in a 3-1 win over L/B IV – and Can McCullough’s second of the game, with 4:15 left, was the tying goal, Ben Scott had 1-1-2 and Adley two assists as L/B V pulled out a 4-4 tie with Melrose, which got two goals from Zak Aslane and 1-1-2 from Steve Ohanesian;
Ethan Pope and Pat Holden both had 2-1-3, No. 4 added 1-1-2 and Jake Barry pitched a shutout in Andover’s 5-0 win over Arlington; No. 10 posted 2-1-3, CJ Natale had 1-2-3 and Thomas, Castano and Ferreira all had 1-1-2 in Woburn’s big win over Newton; Collin Kor capped a hat trick with what proved to be the winner with 10:47 left and Mike Chase scored twice as North Reading edged Peabody, 5-4, despite 1-1-2 by Giovanni Jannino; Peirce Callanan’s goal with 1:06 left in the second period gave Masco a 3-0 lead and Masco then held off Methuen, 3-2, as Ian Beauchesne had 1-1-2 in the third period; and Justin Lacau’s second of the game, with 5:43 left, gave Tewksbury a 2-2 tie with the Wizards. – MIKE SHALIN, firstname.lastname@example.org
