Lexington/Bedford won three games, all via Abby Burke shutouts, and Masco had a win and a tie. Jackie Denning had two goals in Lexington/Bedford’s 4-0 win over Dover; Dylan Meadows and Sam Eddy both delivered a goal and an assist in a 2-0 triumph over Peabody – and Matt Piccirillo scored the only goal needed in the first period of a 3-0 victory over Methuen; Nick Aleckna had the winner with 1:06 left and Tyler Duval set up two goals in Masco’s 3-2 win over Andover – and Tom Moore scored with 1:52 left in the second period to answer a Kyle Hancox goal and give Methuen a 1-1 tie with Masco;
Matt Shea scored twice and Danny Kelly had a goal and an assist in Arlington’s 4-1 win over Methuen; Jake Witkowski scored with :39 left to give Melrose a 2-2 tie with the Maine Gladiators, who got 1-1-2 from Bryan Hall; Anthony Merullo erupted for five goals and an assist in North Reading’s 6-2 win over Concord, which got 1-1-2 from Jake Rand; Joe Strangie went for 2-2-4 and Kyle White had 1-2-3 as Danvers beat Concord, 6-3 – Harrison Murphy and Madison Crutchfield with 1-1-2 apiece and Hunter Burke with two assists in the loss; and Jeremy Hatfield delivered 1-2-3 and Mike Vadala and Jordan Manthorne booth had 1-1-2 in Peabody’s 5-2 victory over Andover.
Beverly had a win and a tie. John Page pitched a shutout and Graham Doherty scored late in the second period of a 3-0 win over Wakefield – and Nate Crepeau scored with :08 left to give the Breakers a 4-4 tie with Beverly, which got 1-1-2 from Doherty;
Jake Barnacle scored twice and Dylan Yameen had two assists in Salem’s 4-2 win over Everett/Revere; Bradbury scored twice and Williams had two assists as Newburyport stopped Reading, 3-1; Jerome Ciaramitaro pitched a shutout and Jacob Omaley scored both goals in Cape Ann’s 2-0 win over Triton; Andres Klump tied the game with 3:01 left and then won it with :42 on the clock and Nick Galvagno had two assists as Newton edged Saugus, 4-3, despite three assists by Wood and 1-1-2 by Hadley; and Ryan Gilboy scored twice and Ryan Maciejewski had two assists as the Renegades beat Cape Ann, 3-1.
Wakefield had two wins and a tie, Greater Lowell and Malden both had a win and a tie and S&S two ties. Steve Czarnota tied the game with 2:00 left and Pat Stewart followed 32 seconds later to give Wakefield a 2-1 decision over North Andover; Czarnota had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 triumph over Medford, which got 1-1-2 apiece from Colin DeMagistris and Ronnie Coiro – and Webber’s second goal of the game tied it 30 seconds left, Sullivan had 2-2-4 and William O’Neil 1-1-2 as Greater Lowell pulled out a wild 7-7 tie with Wakefield, which got two goals apiece from Tyler Gibbons and John Grossi and two assists from Czarnota; and Corey Corcoran pitched a shutout and O’Neil scored early in Greater Lowell’s 2-0 win over the Blizzard; Jonathan Dalba had a goal and three assists and Kyle Hanson wore the hat in Malden’s 7-1 handling of Wilmington – and Dube scored the tying goal with :15 left, Covina had three assists and Peterson 1-1-2 as S&S pulled out a 3-3 tie with Malden, which got 1-2-3 from Hanson; and Shaun Bowler’s goal early in the second period gave Burlington a 1-1 tie with S&S;
Dan Eruzione exploded for three goals and four assists, Steve Goddard also wore the hat and had two setups and Mike Balian posted 1-2-3 in Winthrop’s 7-3 win over Medford, which got two goals from Eric Short; and Tom Maguire scored four goals and assisted on another and Brian Bellemore had two assists in Haverhill’s 6-2 win over Lynn.
Matt Kiernan scored his fifth goal of the game with :17 left to give Lexington/Bedford a 5-4 victory over Watertown – Josh Carruthers with two assists in the win and Anthony Forman with a goal and an assist in the loss; Shiller and Dibiase scored 32 seconds apart early and Arlington scored three times in the first period and beat Pentucket, 4-2; Tom Mulligan had the tying goal with 8:30 left and AJ Williams delivered 1-1-2 as Newburyport earned a 2-2 tie with Pentucket; Jeff Giasullo’s second of the game, with 6:31 left, gave Tewksbury a 2-1 decision over Methuen; Jack Harrington and Jack Reilly (1-1-2) scored in an eight-second span of the first period and Andover tied Methuen, 2-2; Matt Flynn scored twice in the third period to give Danvers a 4-3 verdict over Peabody; and Ganter had 2-1-3, Crampe also scored twice and Bassi pitched a shutout in Lynnfield’s 4-0 victory over Tewksbury.
Lexington/Bedford won twice. Justin Cooke assisted on three goals, Matt Mazur and Joey Caira both scored twice and Dan Wentzel had two assists in a 6-3 win over Beverly, which got 1-1-2 from Joey Kozlowski – and Caira scored early in a 4-0 victory over Winchester;
Kevin Terban (1-1-2) had the tying goal 15 seconds into the third period, Abby Angelosanto also had 1-1-2 and Tyler Therrien two assists as Newburyport pulled out a 2-2 tie with Triton; Pat Holden’s 1-1-2 helped Andover past Beverly, 4-2 – Brian Williams with 1-1-2 in the loss; McCarthy’s goal with 6:47 left proved to be the winner, Sullivan and Francis both had 1-1-2 and Metcalf two assists as Stoneham edged North Reading, 5-4, despite 1-1-2 apiece by Joe Lemieux and Anthony Manganiello and two assists by Jared Pelham; and Rosengren pitched a shutout and S&S stopped the Wizards, 3-0.
The Blizzard won twice. Stejbach had two goals and two assists, Rich also scored twice and Nickerson and Day both also had two assists in a 5-1 win over Cape Ann – and Stejbach scored both goals and Crowley had two assists in a 2-1 decision over Newburyport;
Alex St. Pierre and Phil Carangelo scored 22 seconds apart to snap a 1-1 tie in the third period and Reading beat Lynn, 4-1; Jonathan Tucker scored four goals and Brian Daly set up two goals and Danvers beat Haverhill, 7-1; Drew Beaupre scored twice and Ben Clifford broke a 1-1 tie with 7:38 left as Amesbury beat North Andover, 3-1; Nick Davis scored two goals in 2:34 in the second period and Kyle Flannery had 1-1-2 in Lynnfield’s 3-2 decision over North Andover; Collin Hogan capped a hat trick with goals with10:46 left and again at 8:00 as Lynn got by Medford, 4-3 – Feola with two goals in the loss. Nicky Flord posted 2-1-3 and John Delsolio 1-2-3 in Winthrop’s 5-2 win over Saugus; Chris Smith wore the hat and had an assist, Connor Burns posted 1-1-2 and Ian Perkins two assists in Wakefield’s 5-2 victory over Wilmington; and No. 30 had what proved to be the winner with 6:59 left, Ryan Cobb delivered 2-1-3, Peirce Callanan had 1-1-2 and Ben Scott two assists in Lexington/Bedford’s 4-3 decision over Masco.
The Wizards won twice and Tewksbury posted a win and a tie. Bonnie Connell, Sarah Spotts and Sarah Milofsky all had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Andover – and Rebecca Legro scored early in a 2-0 win over Melrose (coaches, a goalie’s name???); Chelsee Porcaro scored twice and Tewksbury beat Peabody, 5-3, Giovanni Jannino with two assists in the loss – and Callanan’s second of the game, with 10:15 left, gave Masco a 2-2 tie with Tewksbury;
Josh Bonin scored two goals in 28 seconds in the first period and Matt St. Clair had two assists in Pentucket’s 3-1 victory over Andover; Ray Baumgarten capped a hat trick with two goals 57 seconds apart in the third period for the win, Brian Conry had2-1-3 and Laura Miele two assists as North Reading edged Methuen, 5-4 – Pete Menzies with 1-1-2 in the loss; Reid Garrant delivered 2-1-3 and Cam McClung had 1-1-2 in Pentucket’s 7-0 handling of Arlington; Durran and Ahearn both had 1-1-2, Newcomb scored twice and Brogna had 1-1-2 in Woburn’s 6-4 win over Lexington/Bedford, which got 2-1-3 from Rhett Adley, 1-1-2 from Brennan Lagrassa and two assists from Josh Lee; and Brendan Woodworth had 2-1-3 , Nathan Tikonoff also scored twice and Nathan Gerard and Steve Ohanesian both posted 1-1-2 as Melrose beat Newton, 8-2 – Pat Aquilina with both goals in the loss. – MIKE SHALIN, firstname.lastname@example.org
