Melrose, Methuen, Masco and Wakefield all posted two wins in the opening week.
Jared Crowell and Jack Wells both registered a goal and two assists and Matt McKenzie scored twice as Melrose beat Lexington/Bedford, 6-4 – and Greg McGunigle (coach, spelling correct?) scored five goals and assisted on another, Crowell wore the hat and had an assist, Ryan Swift and Aylward both notched 1-2-3 and McKensie had 1-1-2 in a big win over Tewksbury, which got 1-1-2 from Nick Muise; Chris Lattani, Max Dal and Mike Cooper all posted 2-1-3, Cam Stanislewski had 1-2-3 and Brett Blackwell scored twice in Methuen’s loud victory over Peabody – and Jonathan Caux scored four goals and assisted on another, Blackwell also wore the hat and had an assist, Cody Kaczynski had 2-2-4, Blackwell went for 1-3-4, Steve Beaupre posted three assists, Matt O’Rourke scored twice and Mike Cooper had 1-1-2 in another noisy handling of Peabody; Sam Stone wore the hat and had an assist, Scotty D’Ambrosio delivered 2-1-3 and Tom Bennett two assists in Masco’s 8-2 triumph over Wilmington – and Clark scored four goals and Bargman two in a big win over Medford; Dave Melanson and Sam Colangelo scored 1:33 apart early and Wakefield trimmed Newton, 3-1 – and Melanson scored with 1:22 left in the second period for the goal that was the difference in a 2-1 decision over Winchester.
Jack Bertolami came through with 2-2-4 and Bob Lord had 2-1-3 in Wilmington’s 6-3 victory over Tewksbury; Harry Welch scored with 4:49 left to give Medford a 2-2 tie with Triton; Katerina Nikolopolous capped a hat trick with what proved to be the winner with 5:40 left, Kelly Browne and Ryan Farrow both had 1-1-2 and Kenzie Arsenault added two assists in Burlington’s 5-4 win over Stoneham; Keane scored four goals, Ziady posted 1-3-4 and Drew two assists in Winchester’s tight 7-6 win over Saugus, which got 2-3-5 from Bono an a hat trick and an assist from Saracchiaro; Cam Schnitt wore the hat, Mike Reilly and posted 2-1-34 and Kyle Getty had 1-1-2 in Andover’s 8-2 win over Lynn, which got 1-1-2 from Ryan Donnelly; and Nathan Donaldson wore the hat, Connor Barter had 2-1-3, Jonathan Montbleau also scored twice and Zack Grat had two assists in Greater Lowell’s 7-0 handling of Triton.
Bobby Darling, Mike Norton and Justin Penney all scored twice in Stoneham’s 6-1 victory over the Wizards; Cam Ludwig pitched a shutout and Kevin Salsman had 2-1-3 in Pentucket’s 4-0 win over Andover; Collin Chase wore the hat, Josh Rameriz (2-1-3) scored twice in 23 seconds, Nick Hamoian posted 1-2-3, Mike McGreal and Kyle Corsetti both had 1-2-3 and John Stringer assisted on a pair of goals in North Reading’s big win over Beverly; Sal Costanzo and Jake Horrigan both wore hat, Ethan Brennan had 1-2-3 and Chris Powers, Ryan Muniz, Nico Scalli and Dylan Webb all added 1-1-2 in Cape Ann’s loud win over Masco; Rodriguez wore the hat and Wright scored twice in Andover’s 6-0 victory over North Andover; Nick Karoack scored five goals, Kevin Morgan had four and Kyle Finch and Walker Anderson both set up three goals in Marblehead’s 9-3 victory over Everett/Revere, which got two goals from Snock; and North Andover scored a big win over Burlington.
Jonathan Simmons scored two goals in a 1:07 span, Tom Worob also scored twice and James Ryan had two assists in Wilmington’s 7-1 win over Peabody; Brendan O’Shead delivered 1-2-3 Sam Constible and Josh Marchand scored two goals apiece and Alexander Graves and Nick Foderaro both had 1-1-2 in Methuen’s big win over Lexington/Bedford; Brett Paolillo had what proved to be the winner with 9:27 left as Woburn edged Triton, 3-2; Gordon Cummins scored five goals in the third period, Thomas Murphy posted 1-1-2 and Newburyport stopped Haverhill, 8-1; Burns ad No. 3 both had 1-1-2 and Winchester beat North Andover, 7-2; Josh O’Connell scored with 5:47 left to give Andover a 2-2 tie with North Andover; No. 2 (2-1-3) scored with 6:56 left to give Newton a 3-2 decision over Arlington, which got both goals from Jeff McDonald, Brooke Kehough scored with 2:30 left to give Marblehead a 3-2 win over Winchester; and Sam Veerman went for 2-1-3 in Wakefield’s 4-1 victory over Stoneham.
Greater Lowell won twice. Sam Asselin wore the hat in a 4-2 victory over Lynn – and Asselin scored four goals, three of them in a 4:17 span of the third period, to lead his team to a 5-3 win over Newburyport; Jack Fitzgerald wore the hat and had two assists, Max Pineo also had the sombrero, Anthony Shea scored twice and Mitch McKay had two assists in North Reading’s big win over Andover; Lombard wore the hat and Alessi had 1-1-2 as S&S beat Masco, 6-1; and Kyle Nekoroski went for 1-4-5, Evan Bern (coach, correct spelling?) scored four goals, Tyler Murphy posted 1-3-4 and Ryan Freitas scored twice in Lynnfield’s 6-0 win over Lynn.
O’Neill scored twice and Aldsworth posted 1-1-2 in Newton’s 7-4 win over Wilmington; Rogan delivered 2-1-3, Duyon and Brooks both scored twice and Langone had two assists in Winthrop’s 9-2 handling of Danvers, which got both goals from Robert Tibbetts; Francoeur (1-1-2) had what proved to be the winner with 3:23 remaining and Amesbury got by Watertown, 3-2; and Issy Primack went for 2-3-5, Aidan Haney wore the hat and had an assist and Aidan Daley and McKinley Karpe both added 1-1-2 in Agawam’s 9-2 handling of Cape Ann, which got 1-1-2 from Andrew McRae.
Amesbury and Agawam each had a win and a tie. Ryan Farley and Cade Beauparzant both wore hats and Paul Sousa and No. 19 both posted 1-1-2 in Amesbury’s big win over Masco – and Jack Reynolds (2-1-3) scored the tying goal with 2:05 left and Chris Fabbri also had 1-1-2 as Agawam pulled out a 4-4 tie with Amesbury, which got two goals from Ryan Farley; Tommy Patch and Brian Carrades both scored four goals, Jake Kivekas and Grace Maroney both had 2-1-3 and Reynolds scored twice in Agawam’s 8-1 win over Marblehead; Dylan Babcock had two and Jacob O’Neil came through with 1-1-2 in North Reading’s loud win over North Andover; Letterere (coaches, correct spelling?) had the tying goal with 2:36 left and David Barry posted 1-1-2 as Winthrop earned a 2-2 tie with Lynnfield; and Ryan O’Connor and Sean Savage both scored twice and Alissa Canney had 1-1-2 in Burlington’s 5-2 victory over Newton.
Ja. Casale scored six goals, Jo. Casale and Souza both had 1-2-3, Guarino set up three goals, Jarna had 1-1-2 and Harrington two assists in Wakefield’s big win over Newton; and Jack Riekelman scored five goals in Marblehead’s 6-4 victory over Methuen, which got two goals from No. 0.
